Motorcycle Seat Gel Pad - RP Series (Medium RP 11x9x7)

Take your time with this. Foam is tedious to cut. Watch a YouTube videos first like I did. A small hand plainer would have been helpful for final leveling. This is a very good workable gel that doesn't break apart like others while working with it. Keep temp covering on and trim to edge as you work with placement. Draw your center line on seat foam them match up a center line sharpie line on gel. I have a small air compressor and bought a nice Arrow staple gun for 35 bucks and staples.

Installed it on my ninja, i cut out the foam to the size of the gel pad and then put a custom seat cover over it. It's very comfortable to ride now.

Gell is 2cm and that is a lot to dig out of a small seat that has thin foam to start. If you have a small sport bike seat I would get 1 cm gell instead. But this gell is great if used in the right application. Very soft.

I am by no means an upholsterer, and was leery of removing the cover and cutting the foam cushion of my V Stars seat but after watching a couple videos i decided i could do it. like anything else all it would take is TIME, somewhat the correct TOOLS and PATIENCE. I bought a $15 Harbor Freight electric stapler and a $10 9in black and decker electric knife at walmart. i then marked a line 1/2" above the seam and cut the front corners of the gel to fit. I then drew a line on the knife blade 5/8" from the tip and cut all around, and then sliced and diced until i got the foam chunks out. Thenused the blade edge as a file to level , fitting the depth with the gel several times and put everything in place and started stapling the cover. Two Tips 1 cut the foam out from the bottom side of the seat, by doing so the 1/2" or so layer of original foam on top leaving NO visible seams, 2nd Cheap staple guns come with cheap staples, toss them and buy a good staples. I dont have a picture but none of my riding buddies of 25 years could tell i did anything but they noticed i was not as grumpy by rides end. You can do it and believe me the difference in comfort level is unreal.good luck

Excellent product! Worth the money. I could barely walk after 5 hours of trail riding. Old man butt! I installed this pad in the seat and I rode 7 hours without pain!!! Stiffness yes, because im old but what a great product! Works so good! Thank you thank you!

This size is plenty for a Z900RS seat. I didn’t think it made too much of difference until I went on my first 2+ hour ride once installed. It relieves some pressure points I was getting on longer rides with the stock saddle.

Although a little more comfortable than my stock seat I wasn't overly impressed. Still start getting sore around 50 -70 miles in. I think if this was twice the thickness it might do better. It's not terrible but not entirely worth the price.
