Good tow strap. hooks a bit small
Good basic tow strap, the hooks are a bit small but they work and have retaining clips so they don't fall off. The strap is bright orange for good visibility and appears to be high quality.

Small, lightweight, well made
Yunpeak Tow Strap with Hooks, 2" x 20ft (20,000lbs) Heavy Duty Emergency Recovery Towing Strap with Forged Steel Hooks, Car Tow Strap for UTV, ATV, Truck (Orange).A great tow strap for a vehicle emergency rather than off road adventures. It is well made and small enough to keep in your vehicle permanently. My only negative, is that these hooks are permanently stitched on. It would have beennice if the hooks could have been removable in case some people wanted to put different types of hooks on.Thank you for reading my review and looking at my photos of this product. I hope you found it helpful!REVIEW PHILOSOPHY: I only review a product if it is something I am capable of critically evaluating through comparison, testing and use. This means I have experience of using similar items; or that I have equipment or tools that I can test it with; or that I have an upcoming need so I can actually use. I am as selective about getting an item to review as I would be about purchasing that same item, so yes, I expect it to be a good product. My reviews are NOT based on packaging or if it was delivered timely.

Good quality tow strap
I'm pleased with this tow strap. It seems to be very good quality and I trust it to be strong enough to handle my needs. The strap itself is thick and sturdy, and the steel hooks are heavy and feel very heavy-duty. I've seen larger straps out there for heavy machinery, etc... but I think this one is sufficient for most peoples' needs, and it'll get you out of a bind if you find yourself stuck in the snow, mud, etc. I (thankfully) haven't had to use it yet, but it went straight into my pickup to be ready for the approaching winter. I think this one's a good value for the money and I'd buy it again.Recommended.

Tow strap with hooks – well-made straps, good stitching, solid steel hooks.
This tow strap with hooks looks and feels very durable. The strap itself is thick and feels like the quality nylon material I’ve used in the past. It feels like the same material used on seatbelts, except these are on steroids. The hooks are good solid steel and look well made. Overall very happy so far with this tow strap!

Probably not 20,000lb. (10T) MBS, prob. 6T…so a good 2T WLL Tow Strap.
So about a decade ago, I picked up a typical 10K-lb. break (~3.3K-lb. WLL) yellow tow strap from HF, threw it in the back of my GMC Envoy (SUV) as a precaution, and didn’t think much else of it. The about a year later, after a deep Ohio snow, my buddy and I were out and about, and I decided to do some “tactical drifting” in a large parking lot…you know, just to see how she handled and tracked! Well, I got a little too bold and ended up stuck on a raised sewer/manhole obscured by the snow. A few minutes later a good Samaritan in a truck pulled over and offered a pull. He grabbed his strap, hooked it to our hitches, and pulled me out (He: D-shackle, Me: tow hook...don't use tow straps on a ball hitch unless you want to play steel dodge ball!). Since his strap was wet and muddy, I just gave him my new strap in exchange. (Fortunately, somehow no damage to my SUV from the sewer).Once I got home, I noticed that the strap was rather used, abraded, and even had a one-inch cut on one side. But I rolled it up, threw in the back of the SUV, and again, didn’t think much of it; until recently. About six months ago, I was randomly watching some off-road videos, those videos induced me to re-inspect that old tow strap. And though it pulled my SUV just fine off the sewer, I decided that a two-inch strap with a one-inch cut should be considered unserviceable for vehicle recovery/tow.So down the rabbit hole of tow straps and kinetic “snatch” recovery ropes I went…and also shackles…size…steel vs. soft…..techniques…and lotsa “fail” videos.Well, kinetic recovery ropes look to be better to absorb the shock and leverage the kinetics for better pull, but they are far too costly to me for something that just sits in my SUV as a precaution..So lately I’ve bought a few outright, and then I’ve been seeing/ordering them offered through Vine, so at this point I have a handful, as I’m still sorting out my “tow/recovery kit”, and plan to ultimately give any extras to friends and fam.So about this one…- I have a beefy 2 in. x 20 ft. strap, that may well max out at ~20,000 lbs. MBS (5-7K-lb WLL), but this strap is more similar to the “better quality/slightly thicker” 10K-MBS/3.3K-WLL straps I have. Maybe call this a 12K MBS/ 2-Ton WLL strap. Note that there is no independent testing or certification for the strength of this strap (or any of these really…which is a problem).- For versatility, I tend to prefer straps with loops over hooks, but shackles and other hardware add to the cost…and most budget tow straps come with hooks. The hooks on this one are again “beefy”, but they aren’t grade (or size) marked. Even at a low forged grade, the hooks likely exceed the strength of the strap (which is a good thing…straps “crack”…broken hooks fly back at you!). But I may remove the hooks for use with (rated) shackles anyway.- Never hook these to a strap “midline” nor to any non-steel or non-chassis part. Again, a 100+ mph steel hook coming back at you…muy malo! If you must connect the strap to another “midline”, put a hefty blanket/coat on the strap/hook to increase-drag/retard the flying hook.- Also, this is tow strap, NOT a “SNATCH STRAP”. Do not get a “running start” and “yank” with this strap. Snatch straps/ropes have elasticity to absorb the (exponential tension force of a) “yank/shock”. This strap does not.Bottom Line:Compared to other 10K MBS/3.3K WLL straps I’ve handled, this is a quality made tow strap. Also compared to others I’ve handled, I’d rate it at 6T-MBS/2T-WLL…and even that is an approximation based on ratings/claims from my other straps. This strap is well made, and a small step up from other/cheaper “10K” straps. If only they’d independently certify these.
