A bit of an odor but they are absolutely beautiful
These smell like Elmer's school glue but it is fading with time. I love the very light white coloration of the beads that contrast with the black felt. The string length is staggered so that you do not have to worry about hanging them in a specific way to achieve the staggered look. I will probably be decorating for Fall/Halloween early this year!
