Underwhelmed by the compression
I bought the compression bag for my sleeping bag as I go kayaking and always tight for space in the hatches for all my gear. Sleeping bag is crutucal gear so to mitigate the risks of water damage I wrap my sleeping bag in two light weight dry bags. The first photo (red bag) is the sleeping bag with sea to summit compression bag plus one lightweight waterproof bag over the top. The second photo (yellow bag) is with the sleeping bag in a normal cloth compression bag followed by two light weight waterproof bags. I have put another sleeping bag beside it for comparison. As you can see Using the sea to summit compression bag rather than the normal cloth compression bag I haven’t made the overall bundle much smaller . Whilst the sea to summit bag made a minor difference it’s unremarkable.Disappointed at the volume reduction.Wondering if the photos that sea to summit use to show volume reduction are showing stuff in the bags that compresses down far more easily than my sleeping bag, which isn’t made of down but synthetic materials.Anyhow I feel For my use this sea to summit bag has not made enough of a difference to justify buying this one when I have other bags that get do almost the same result. The bag itself is otherwise of good quality though I’ve not tested actual waterproof ness

Blown away
Absolutely amazing, it has made my underquilt bag which was kinda big now into the size of my hand, I’ve bought another one now for my winter sleeping bag, the compression straps make it so easy to push the air out of the e-vent , the quality feels good. Of course I wouldn’t put anything sharp in there though. It only weighs about 100g for the XS too

Genius
I use these to compress goose down sleeping bags for backpacking. They compress down as small as you like, squeezing the air out of the yellow e-vent panel on the bottom, and yet they are completely waterproof, ...and yet breathable so things can still dry out inside them. Genius. The roll-top closure clips together under the compression lid and keeps water out successfully.I also use one to pack a tent into. The poles and pegs go separately in my rucksack and the tent inner and flysheet get stuffed in one of these. (Stuffed - not folded.) It's brilliant because a wet tent can't then make anything else wet inside my rucksack. Plus, the tent then takes up less space. I've got it down to a fine art now, and my complete backpacking gear, including clothes, 2 person tent, mountain sleeping bag good for about -5 degrees or so - everything except food and water in fact - will fit into a rucksack which I can fold down small enough to take on a Ryanair flight as cabin baggage. No need for luggage in the hold at all. These E-vent compression sacks help make that possible. Not the absolute lightest compression sacks available but strong and dependable and light enough. I had a Life Venture compression sack rip open on one trip. Really annoying. These are strong. Don't drag them over sharp rocks if you want them to stay waterproof of course, but you can tug on the straps as hard as you like and jump up and down on them with big boots without them bursting. (Well, to be honest, if I'm tightening them up to extremes then I'll turn them upside down, put the weight of my chest on the bottom end to compress them and pull the straps to take up the slack - just to be on the safe side.)Very good. Not cheap but really excellent and worth every penny.

Best comp/sack ever.
This is just a brilliant bit of kit. Bear in mind, if you wanna compress your kit, make sure it compresses well, the bag does exactly what it's supposed to, so long as what you put in it CAN shrink down more.I'm getting a couple more. Love them.Edit: I now own 4 of these... they're amazing.

Good Quality / Durable
Purchased this for my 4 season sleeping bag. Appears to be of a good quality and pretty much does what it says on the tin. I’m addition, design has a replaceable buckle, thus should this break after a lot of use, can be easily fixed.Seller was prompt with delivery, arriving a few days before the expected delivery date.

Great space saver
I needed a compression bag to put my sleeping bag in for bikepacking. U sure if the sizing, I purchased an S and XS size. I have found that I can pack my Rab Ascent 500 down sleeping bag into the XS with minimal effort and can compress it down slightly further. I wouldn’t recommend storing a sleeping bag in it, but for storage/compression whilst you’re on the move it seems ideal. Can’t comment on how waterproof the bag is, as yet it is untested, but on the face of it, looks well made and the seams are taped inside. It is pricey for what it is, but if it keeps my sleeping bag dry and stands the test of time it will have been money well spent. I was going to send the size S back, but have decided to keep it for use with other kit…despite the cost. Pleased so far…
