Not disappointed
Love this! It's actually taller than me!! (I'm 5'9) It's not ear piercing loud, you can actually understand what it's saying, all my neighbors love this one. I just wish the poles were sturdier, but we slid a metal pole over the plastic ones..

I actually kinda like it
I didnt really know or care much what to do with all the poles. There was no instructions. So I hung it up without and I love it. It just has its arms placed like it is rubbing it's hands together, which I actually prefer. The noises are actually quite terrifying and go on for a long time. I would have liked to have the option to just have the eyes light up and move without the noise. I figured the noise would've been annoying, but I had no idea what I was in for with how scary and obnoxious they are. I took the batteries out. It looks quite nice the way I use it, I think.

Missing pieces to put together
Not sure if this was supposed to come with connector pieces for the metal rods, but there are none so I have no way to put it together

Easy to set up
This ghost is easy to set up. Simply assemble the base, insert the poles, and add the ghost. I like that the arms are adjustable to put in any pose. I also like the movement of the ghost! Unfortunately, we had some wind, and it broke one of the pole connector pieces. I simply placed a t-post in the ground and wired the pole to it for stability The fabric flutters in the wind, and this guy looks great during the day or at night!

The Frighteningly Fragile Scary Man
The media could not be loaded. UGGGGGHHHH, I really wanted to love Scary Man. I would if he was made from quality materials. Unfortunately, he arrived with a broken plastic neck support and movement bar. I managed to fix it up with some duct tape, but I’m not sure how long that will last. I was a bit disappointed that there weren’t any directions, product info, or customer support from the vendor, which is why I had to give him just 1 star.Putting the metal poles into the plastic connectors was a bit of a struggle, but luckily, it all came together without any breaks. The motion sensor is a bit tricky, too. I'm not sure if it reacts to touch, light, or movement—it seems inconsistent. When he does get going, though, and starts shrieking, it’s quite the experience, albeit a bit nerve-wracking. I just know I’ll probably want to switch him to the 'OFF' position after a while. I originally purchased him for a fun Halloween decoration for my classroom, but that is NOT going to happen. He shrieks for a very long time and would probably give my students nightmares! If you have a roll of duct tape, 3 AA batteries, the love of terror, and nerves of steel this is the Scary Man for you.

It's scary looking and sounding, BUT, it requires a button push to activate.
One reviewer of this scary thing stated something about it being 'too scary'. Well yeah it certainly is :) so it serves its purpose in that sense, but there is a "but" noted below. The advertisement has a little girl running in terror, and I think that just might be on point. This is a great looking and sounding Halloween prop, but there are a couple of downsides as I state below. It's a little cheaply made. I fear that when it falls over, the hands and head will break. The stand will not stand the test of time unless you baby it. I would NOT leave it in the middle of my yard because the wind will blow it over (even with the stakes), and likely break the base and stand. These can easily be replaced with something much stronger.I have not been able to find a way to activate by touch or sound as they claim in the advertisement of this. As far as I can tell, the only way to activate is by pressing the button that's on a short wire burried under the sheet in the back. The movements and sound run for about a minute. It would be very nice if it was able to activate due to motion. Without auto activation, it's pretty much just a non-moving scary looking prop.Check out the video I added to see how it moves and sounds. This is real :)

Super cool
Oh this ghost man is super cool. He makes cool noises and says some phrases and moves like he's alive. I'm really excited to add him to my display this year. Super fun!
