Enchanted Life

A note to Sharon Blackie: Thank you for writing this beautiful book. I came upon it quite "coincidentally" thru many twists and turns (isn't that always the way) and am already quite certain it's a life changer for me. I've always known and felt the things you write about so eloquently, would experience the connection of spirit at times, but had lost my compass thru the years. Because of your writings I am reminded that we all have the tools accessible within us to see our beautiful, magical world and our connection to it as it really is. You are helping lift the veil of separation that in my opinion has caused us to lose our way. Hand to heart I thank you.

I cannot believe how quickly my book arrived! I am savoring every page, not to miss one delicious word. She writes very beautifully and lays out a glorious feast with much to take in and digest. Dr.Sharon Blackie has very clear vision and understanding of myths, lore and legend and how they still resonate in the deepest part of ourselves.I plan to go slowly with this book. It truly is "Deep calling unto deep and I want to experience all it pulls up from the depths of my being.

I love Blackie's style of writing. I think anyone struggling in the matrix would benefit reading this book. It resonates with those of us striving to live an authentic life.

This book with a lovely mystical cover hints at and circles around mystical nuance butkeeps jarringly reverting to corporate speak and talks of writer's housing arrangements.It failed to take me behind the curtain of enchantment.So sad.Will donate to the Little Library in the neighborhood. Surely it will find it's rightful owner.Love Peace and Joy and still gratitude to the author

This book is pure magic. It transported me in realm of enchantment and really helped me to reignite the magic in my every day life. But, on top of that, it also has been very healing because the approach Sharon Blackie offers goes way beyond creating an enchanted life, it's also a way of understanding yourself better through the stories (the one you read but the stories you tell yourself as well). It's just an absolute brilliant work!

A great read for those seeking to disentangle themselves from an institutional existence - for those wanting guidance on the path to re-enchantment.

this is a book which in places bored me, in places frustrated me, but also made me cry and spoke to my heart. It is a book that made me feel like I was on the right path, and not so crazy. That there are many others like me out there.I loved the part about children - both raising our own children and our own childhood, I love the part about being connected to the land especially since I feel more at home in a place I don't live, most are all I adored what she has to say about stories and myths.This book was like a friend...at times frustrating but so full of wise advice. It is a book to cherish, and read again when I need a boost.The section of homework at the end of each chapter is just perfect. There are some real thought provoking things to ponder, and some of my answers surprised myself. This is a very beautiful book.

Loved this book - inspired me to get in touch with the archetypes and myths that can enhance life even in a modern technological society. I've always looked for the magic in everyday life - this book authenticated this approach and helped me to feel that my life is worthwhile.

Having read and loved the authors previous book (If women rose rooted), I was eager to read this one. Having spent several decades reading and examining feminist/spiritual/mythical subjects, i found this book to have a very accessible, personal mix of all three. It’s not too academic, nor is it too “love and light”. For those of us who endeavour to live in this space that the author describes, it serves as a lovely supportive realistic read (i.e. no “witchy” instructions for how to dance about without yer draws on....). On a personal note, it also prompted a bit of a revelation for me with regards the role of the homes I have lived in which I had not considered before so well worth the read for me. I suspect then, that this is a book that I will happily re-read at different stages in the future.
