Most of the reviews for "Pure Edible Arabic Gum Small 800g" are actually about gum arabic in general, rather than this particular offering. The price of this gum is reasonable, and it's of edible grade (also OK for other uses). It's available from the same supplier at the same price as small of large crystals (I prefer small, as it dissolves more quickly, in about 12 hours at room temperature). It's also available as powder, at a higher price (maybe different supplier). Gum arabic is usually the gum of various species of acacia tree, but other species can also use the name - it's not regulated. This particular one doesn't state species at all. This isn't a "product", like Mr Kipling's cakes, but a "commodity", like caster sugar, so there's not much to say, they're all the same, except that I don't know what tree it's from. I've bought some and am ordering more, to use as a prebiotic foodstuff. I've given 5 stars as it's gum arabic, and the price is right.

I have been told this is very good for people who suffer from constipation.I bought small amount for my mother to see if it works, and it works very well. Just dissolves one Tbsp in hot water and now she's fine. So I decided to get more for her and now she's great and swears by it..
