Boye Loom Craft Kit Jumbo Spool Knitting Set

My 5 yr old granddaughter wanted a loom after she read it in a Berenstain Bears book. lol I set it up and she can now do the look herself.

It's hard plastic. The exact one I got & promptly lost was soft rubber & alot easier on my hands. Gotta find the soft rubber one, this one feels kinda cheap but still work for what I need

Makes perfect ropes. Great for rugs both, and make perfect rugs.

If I could give this BOYE knitting spool a150% I would, it is that good. I should of known as it is same product as their crochet needles. It has a groove for the hook to travel and a hook at top to keep the yarn from slipping off.

This is just what I was looking for. Large and small I cords and easy to use. Very relaxing too. I not only use for I cords, I make jumbo yarn from it.

Good tool. But the grooves making it hard to push down the yarn.

The best design I've seen so far, except possibly the one that you crank a handle to make i-cord with ("embellish-knit" machine kit). This Boye model has grooves in the pegs so you can easily fit the metal tool underneath the yarn to lift it over the peg. It also has pegs shaped like crochet hooks so that the newer yarn you don't yet want to leave the peg stays in place. Only downside of that is the yarn does kind of stick under the hook shapes so I have to pull the yarn back down on the peg every round. Still, good value, and I can use my bulky yarns on this one - for making rugs.

This loom is a bit difficult to work with. The head of the pegs catch the yarn a lot. I have kept it and will use it from time to time, but would not by another loom with pegs like this.

What a great product! I hadn't done French knitting since I was young, and I quickly picked it up again with the handy guide. The purple frame does create loose knitting, I've used it with wool that is very "strandy", and it's worked where normal knitting hasn't because of the handy tool. There are grooves on the arms so it's so easy to pick up stitches. Definitely would recommend for beginners.

Sturdy with quite a good hook. Not as large as they make out! Pegs come loose & fall out so be careful!

I ordered this for my 4 year old granddaughter, because she was interested to see me knitting. The tool itself is really well designed and easy for little hands to hold. I would have given this 5 stars, but knocked one off because the instructions were not particularly clear and I ended up watching YouTube videos instead.

Love this, I have arthritis in both my hands & I've taken up knitting again & this is a must have in my knitting bag. Chunky & easy to use. Will use this seller again.
