Can i connect this device to a windows xp desktop

Yes but depending on the sound out of your pc. You would need either a 3.5mm stereo jack to come from the pc into 2xRCA which, I think, were supplied in the box. Or an optical to optical out (included). If you have 2 RCA's for sound out then you would need a 2xRCA to 2xRCA cable.

As long as the projector has a 3.5 aux audio out and optical out port, you can connect it to this transmitter, but you can only pair two headphones at the same time to it, and better to use the ones that support aptx ll, to avoid audio delay.
