NikePro Combat Hyperwarm Hydropull Hood

I purchased this primarily for running. I have used it for about 3 weeks now and I can attest to the fact that it is a very good product and it keeps one especially warm and wicks away the sweat after 5 or so miles when you really want that sweat off your head. I specifically purchased the 'hyperwarm' as I needed one that would give me maximum protection from the elements during my winter running. I wear size 7 1/8 hats or XL and this fits me perfectly. There is a similar hood (balaclava) for sale by Nike but it's not 'hyper warm" so the results from that one may be different.I have done 15, 13 and 10 miles and I am very happy with it. It kept me warm, warm enough for me to brave the wind and cold in 25, 30 and 32 degree (Fahrenheit) temperatures. It does not get too uncomfortably warm which was my fear. The inside is warm and the material soft to the touch and does not itch. I have used this product with the hyperwarm Combat pro long sleeve top/shirt and pants, and nothing, no cold air gets past the clothing. I tuck the hood under the shirt's top and I tuck the top into the pants and my socks underneath the bottom of my pants so that no wind chill sneaks into my body. It is very well constructed and I only wash it with cold water and dry it naturally, air dry (not in the dryer) to extend its life. I also tried it when riding the motorcycle and it worked great. However, a perfect motorcycle balaclava should spread to the end of your shoulders as these hoods/balaclavas that end at the bottom of your neck tend to bunch up and expose some part of the neck to the wind, defeating the purpose of the balaclava. For running, it is excellent especially when used with the rest of the Nike hyperwarm products. I also love that you can use it in 3 different formats; as shown in the picture with the top of the head and nose covered, (I am clean shaven including the top of the head so I obviously choose this option!) with the nose uncovered, and with the head and nose exposed but neck covered. The packaging shows you how to use it in the three instances. I would highly recommend it. I got the red one. I would have preferred blue but it was not available on hyperwarm when I purchased it. Hopefully, this shall keep me running in the winter in the elements.

I ordered it hoping it would fit well (I like things fitting snug) and it fits perfectly. It’s not cheap but it’s Nike (my brand of choice) and you get what you pay for. Definitely recommend for anyone else who is looking to keep warm in cold weather.

My son love wearing this while playing sports. It fits very snug so it doesn’t move around while he is running around on the soccer field.

Just spend the money on this one & don’t waste your time with others, your just going to replace them over & over again due to stretching

Its nice and warm but its tight especially when the whole things on your face but the more you wear it the more it fits and stretches

I have had this product for 3 months now. I am a big fan of the Nike Hyperwarm series I also own a long sleeve shirt and one of the NFL icon sweatshirts and they both work very well.I was skeptical about which balaclava product to buy. I live in the Pacific Northwest and the winters are more wet and mild rather than extreme cold. I bought this product to use for running outdoors in the elements and it works great.This winter I have taken it on my long slow weekly run around 8 to 10 miles and it helps block out the elements. If the conditions are heavy fog, high winds or below 40 degrees it definitely helps to have the product on and be fully covered. If the weather conditions are not to cold above 48 degrees you can always start with the mask part on and just drop it down if you become to hot. The mask does pinch your nose a little and takes a little bit of time to get used to but the benefit of being able to stay warm and be able to train outside sure beats jogging on a treadmill or getting pneumonia from cold exposure to the lungs. The product is not perfect but for the price I think it works very well. You may only need to use it 3 to 4 months out of the year but you will be happy to have it when the weather conditions worsen. Like other reviewers have stated wash the product on cold and let air dry do not use in a dryer to preserve the life of the product.This product does fog up normal sunglasses so in bad weather it might be easier to wear goggles. I have not used it with an I-Pod or headphones fully covered yet.I own the black colored one. Overall I am happy with the product. Works very well for training outdoors.
