Great addition to a family games night
Right, these are (at time of writing) £8. For that you get a no frills product. A plastic bag containing the chips. That's it. No silly metal boxes with foam inserts and the like. The chips themselves are thinner than 'proper' gambling chips - maybe about half as thick - but they're not flimsy. They have 'denominations' printed onto them, which makes things easier for the players. I recently received a poker set with very similar chips (same colours and everything) but that did not have numbers on them - and that makes keeping track of things harder.Worth £8?Well, yes and no. Mostly yes. If you want gambling chips and already have everything else you need, and know rules for your games etc, then these can make a nice addition to your games nights. Far less vulgar than using real money and easier to manage than Monopoly money! However, if you don't already have cards and buttons and rules etc, then you can get sets that feature all of these things as well as chips at prices that, in my opinion, would represent better value. So, horses for courses.

Absolute rubbish – a waste of money!
Bought these for my 4-year-old to learn counting, but honestly, they’re dangerous. The plastic feels like cheap tat – edges are sharp enough to nick skin, and the coins started flaking paint after one use (smells like chemicals too!). My little one tried to put one in his mouth and it’s smaller than a 2p coin – massive choking hazard! No proper CE safety marks either. Ended up binning them straight away. Don’t be fooled by the low price – spend a few extra quid on something decent like instead.
