I was so happy with the quality and ideas they had! The plastic is very sturdy, the colors are vibrant, and the variety is crazy fun! My grandkids love this. I have a 2-2 1/2 year old who loves to pretend to cook for us or to pretend she is running a bakery or a restaurant. This is great for kids to learn different food items and there is such a variety. They are learning colors, shapes, names etc and being creative. I really hope in the future this will spark a love for cooking real food. So far everything is holding up to rough toddler play.This kept a bunch of kids extremely busy for a long time using their imaginations and having different play parties.The pieces are kind of small, and there are A LOT of them, so it gets kind of messy, but it's worth it for how entertained they keep the kids.There are a ton of food items that I would consider to be safe (not choking hazards). However, I did find a few that should not be given to any child (or adult) because they are plastic play food and they can absolutely choke someone of any age. Everything is very durable feeling. I was worried it would be easily dented but its not.Overall, this is a great buy for the amount of fun food supplies you get in this kit. Colorful; size is good for little hands to play with. I liked the fact that there are holes on the top for my granddaughter to insert the candles and other decorations. I didn’t much like the fact that I had to stick on the “filling” myself as the paper is VERY sticky and hard to re-position if you get it off center. I guess that’s a plus in a way because I assume it won’t come loose with play.

This is a great little set for $13+. There are lots of fun, colorful (interchangeable) pieces to accessorize the desserts. Be careful around little ones who still put toys in their mouths; lots of the pieces are quite small.You must put all the stickers and Velcro on yourself. I usually like doing that part anyway, but these stickers were tricky to line up just right. Also, if you make a mistake, it's nearly impossible to take the sticker off again. Another small annoyance was that there are three plates included in the set, but only one cup and one set of plastic flatware. Strange, but not a huge deal.I should also note the photos on the box the toys came in did not match the colors of the actual toys inside. The box showed pink and white desserts and accessories, but the actual toys inside looked like the product photo on the website (blue and white desserts with yellow and brown accessories).Considering the price I paid for this toy set, it was a good value.

My kids enjoys it BUT...It did take some time to assemble. I was disappointed that I had to add all the stickers and the Velcro to the cake and other items. Kinda lazy of the manufacturer if you ask me.

My son loves to watch Genevieve's Playhouse on YouTube, and especially the video where they make this birthday cake. The pieces used to decorate it are very flimsy and several of them broke the first time we tried to push them into the cake, but he still really loves playing with this and we are very happy with our purchase.

Sooo I almost didn’t get this because of the bad reviews saying that you have to put everything together (stickers), but I’m glad I got it and my boys love it. Basically you get all the items and you have to put the stickers on the items but that was not a big deal. Took me about 10 minutes to put all the stickers on. As far as durability.. well my boys are 3 and 4 years old and this cake and accessories are still going strong. Oh yeah another complaint from the reviews was that they didn’t get enough Velcro for the cake to stick to each other but they actually send 2 large pieces of Velcro which have to be cut Into 6 pieces each (not a big deal). I guess some people didn’t figure that out but honestly, it’s not hard to do at all and my boys love playing with this.

My lo saw this on TV and wanted it. Lol its very nice. You have to put the stickers on and Velcro on the right pieces of cake. No instructions just the picture on box.

First of all.This is freaking adorable. At least. On the package.But, it is not worth it.It’s all decals. You have to put stickers on the cake pieces to make it look like it has filling. You have to put stickers on the candles. You have to put stickers on the roll cake.The pieces are tiny. Way smaller than I expected. I wouldn’t be comfortable giving the decorations to my 3 year old. Not only will they be lost right away... but she might eat one. If she doesn’t, the 1 year old will.It doesn’t come with the Velcro attached, either. I have to apply that myself too.It’s very cheaply made. Hollow plastic that’s supposed to be clicked together. Mine arrived with the cake barely snapped together. I had to finish snapping it together so that little fingers wouldn’t be pinched if she was aggressive with it.Honestly, it all went back. It was more of a hazard than it would be fun to play with.
