I have read several transactions of the Bible and the Passion translation is one of my favorites! Dr Brian Simmons, the lead translator, has excellent Introductions to each book of the Bible along with great footnotes that are interesting and well done!

This is a wonderful translation that gives the Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic meaning to help readers better understand the living word that God is speaking to us and his prophets. A great addition to your Biblical resources library.

It would be an insult to God's word to call this the Bible.The man who wrote it claims be hearing from God Himself on how to translate. This is his claim to anyone who points out the flaws and inconsistencies compared to ACTUAL translations. Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic are the original languages the Bible was written in, and Simmons used NONE of those to 'translate'. He claims to be translating Aramaic, but there are some clear places where he adds sentences that are in no way in the original text. As it is written in God's ACTUAL word: "You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commands of the Lord your God which I command you.” This Scripture is a rebuke against Simmons...

I have been enormously blessed by Brian Simmons Passion translation of the scriptures. If you want to know the heart of Father God I highly recommend the TPT translation. This translation has lead me and many others in a deeper walk with Christ.

Do not read this version of the Bible ever! Cannot say it enough this is a horrible translation.
