The media could not be loaded.  Our dog recently started gulping her food down often leading to some choking and coughing on her part. She wasn't too happy with us the first few days but now has gotten used to it. She gets the majority of the food rather quickly but the remaining morsels take a few more minutes. I think her feed time has gone from about 30 seconds to 4-5 minutes.

I purchased a large for my giant breed puppy. Unfortunately he is smarter than the manufacturer or myself. Once he realized that the food was hard to reach and chewing on the top of the 'bowl' he just picked it up and knocked it over to get the food out! I doubt he would be able to do that as an adult, but as a 6 month old pup he can grip the inter shaped sections. I might try it again later when he is larger, but need to find another method.The little 'feet' on the bottom secure it nicely to the floor and keep it from scooting around, but they come out easily when lifted. Two drop out every time, but the other three do not.I can't fit it in the dishwasher, and would assume it is not recommended on the bottom, so have to hand wash. Not a huge problem.

With three dogs, our family is no stranger to slow feeders, but our newest addition, Gus, seemed to breeze right through the first slow feeder we got him. With this slow feeder, he finally has to slow down and doesn't inhale his food. I highly recommend this deep dish slow feeder for those with thicc bois (or gurls) who are so food motivated, they need something a little more challenging.He also eats 6 cups of dog food per day so it's good that this thing can hold a tank of kibble.

My great dane used to finish eating her massive amount of food before I could even finish putting down my other dogs' dishes, and then she'd proceed to steal from the other dogs. This dish has solved all of that! Now, all of the other dogs finish eating first. Because the bowl is black, sometimes she misses a kibble or two so now she likes to visit her dish throughout the day in case kibbles magically appear. So if you have a dog who doesn't chew and needs to slow down his or her eating, this is a great bowl. I highly recommend it!

Amazing item! We used the small bowl up until recently and they are both great! My pit bull is about 60-70 pounds and eats 2-2 1/2 cups twice a day and he’s only 10 months old. It’s a little deeper than I needed but the small one became “too” small and he was eating it too quick because 2 cups would overflow. The LARGE bowl is perfect and makes him work for it, helping him eat slower. It takes him about 5-10 minutes to eat which is great and exactly what we need. There’s also plenty of room in the large bowl so when he grows and we need to feed him more, it’ll be just fine!

We have a Great Dane who likes to inhale his food which makes him choke because he's eating too fast this helps him slow down and has completely stopped the choking. Only draw back is with this design you can only use dry kibble, wet food or trying to mix wet food is just not practical. With our dog being large (very large) he eats approx. 4 cups of kibble and it fits just fine in the bowl with room for more. It did slow his eating down and help with his choking.

My English Mastiff puppy was devouring two cups per sitting in 30 seconds flat in a normal bowl. Purchased this (large black 6cup) and she not only figured it out in under a minute but took around 8 minutes to finish her 2cup meal. She seems happier about having to try harder and also seems full for longer.Her food is the Diamond naturals large breed which is in bigger morsals and it fit in this just fine. I was worried as all pictures showed the smaller bites but it works perfectly.Thanks to the genius who thought this up. My pups now taking her time, using her brain and burps a lot less! Win win win

Our rescue dog (heeler/shepherd) inhaled his food when we first brought him home - this bowl was the solution to slow down his eating. Excellent product, has lasted 4 months so far without any issue at all. Durable, still looks like new. Has little rubber "feet" on it that fall out from the bottom. To remedy this we just push his bowl up against the wall so it "stays" in one place while he is chowing down.
