20 years after a hurricane stole my last trampoline, I finally got in the market for another one. I picked this one for several reasons, and it turned out to be an amazing choice! It arrives in two boxes to make it more manageable, and you need both to build the trampoline, even if you don't want to use the upper enclosure.This is the bounciest surface I've ever been on. The springs are some kind of air-hardening steel or spring steel - way stronger than the galvanized springs we had in my day. They even have a curled end to make sure the spring stays very securely on the mat rings. The mat is superb quality with good thickness and a tight weave. The frame is very well-engineered, with tubes that interlock with T-joints to form one solid connection which is then pulled even more solid by the spring tension. Most connections have spring-loaded dots which lock into holes to keep everything in place. The ladder can bear my adult weight with no problem, although I seldom need to use it since I can just lean right onto the trampoline surface.Again, this thing is BOUNCY. Getting conditioned to this only took me about 30 minutes, but during that time, I felt a bit like I was getting sea legs. But, I did jump on this thing right after a big meal with no problem whatsoever!I was able to build this by myself without any issue. The most time-consuming part is stitching on the enclosure net. Tools and gloves are included to help with everything, but the net is going to take you some time if you stitch every individual ring. I prefer the trampoline without the enclosure - the enclosure looks awesome, and the basketball hoop is great, but I really only put the enclosure on to keep our dog from getting on the trampoline. Well, one unexpected bright side is that I can hang lights, portable speakers, etc. around the top rim of the enclosure.The upper enclosure is NOT load-bearing and you cannot put much weight on it. A small child might be able to jump off the net or into it, and do some cool moves, but I can't recommend sending one's body flying directly at it. It's more like a guard rail than a wall.When everything is built, the whole setup looks quite sleek and all metal surfaces are covered.Well, that's all I can think of to tell you about. I highly recommend this trampoline for both kids and adults! Be aware though, it will likely arrive via FedEx and so someone will need to sign for both parcels.
