Once He Made a Beginning: A Pride and Prejudice Variation

I read everything Ms. Dixon writes!! This variation was not a disappointment. I’ve been starving for a good variation, thank you for a great book. I love how she always makes you want more. This had a little angst not a lot, but that’s ok! It was nicely written.

A great premise wasted on too few words. The short length demanded a fast pace and thus a disappointing lack of character development before feelings changed. The dialogue is stilted and trite in addition to quite a bit of it lifted from the original source dialogue as well. Expected more from this author, especially for the price.
