Add's so much flavour to food
Scottish, sustainable and amazing flavours. Once you've tasted this salt, you'll never want to use table salt again. Check out the videos on the production process.

Award-winning
While most Celtic salt I had used is harvested in France, I finally had the chance to try one from Island of Skye in Scotland.Unlike other Celtic salt which has a grayish colour, this Scottish one looks more like the normal salt I purchased from supermarkets. It also looks drier than most Celtic salt so easy to dispense from the shakers or grinders. It is in coarse form so ideal used for cooking soups without grinding or used in a grinder as table salt. It brilliantly enhances the flavour of different dishes. £19 for 500g Celtic salt sounds pricey for me, but I can understand the pricing as it is an award-winning product.

Tasty, course sea salt.
I'm trying as much as possible to choose healthy natural products rather than the over refined options.I very much like about this product that it is unrefined and 100% natural, with a good taste and the fact that it is full of minerals, as stated on the packaging, also makes it a good choice. It is a coarse salt which I have it in a grinder and use it as I go and besides sprinkling it over dishes, I also add a little bit to my drinking water just to increase the minerals, which in turn helps with hydration. It feels a bit damp and tends to clump together, but for me this is no issue at all, regardless if I sprinkle it as it is or simply use it in a grinder.100% satisfied with the product.

Very high quality, grinds well, and has a wonderful taste!
Well, this is probably one of the nicest bags of sea salt I've ever used and tasted, and I've been using it on everything! It comes in a nice heavy-duty packet which can be resealed, and the salt looks very pure indeed.Even though the salt is very coarse it grinds down so well that you end up with nice, fluffy flakes which have no crunch to them at all when you eat it. You get a lovely flavour from them too, especially on food like egg and chips, it tastes delicious! It's probably the most expensive salt I've used, but it’s very high quality and you can really tell salt like this is worth paying the extra for, so I still feel the value is ok, especially as a treat every now and then.Overall, it’s a product I’m more than happy to recommend and I feel it's worth the full five stars, give it a try!

Luxury salt
This is the most expensive salt I've had and I can appreciate the amount of work that has gone into producing this and how it possesses certain minerals that are taken from the area it's been harvested in which is unique to that salt only. It's pure white and I got the 500g bag. This is bone dry which is good as I can use it in my grinder unless some other brands which have been damp.I'm not a chef and no expert in salts so don't feel qualified to comment on the value aspect, but it did have a nice flavour to it.Obviously in foods it will bring the flavours out more and it's 100 times nicer than any normal sea salt/ table salt I've had.

Great but soooooo expensive
Really nice salt but a little expensive (to say the least) compared to even pricy options like Malden’s. That said I do prefer it so if you are looking to make some very nice breads etc then the extra money might be worth it.

Beautiful!
This is in a different league to generic table salt that you'd normally buy. Sprinkle some of this on your food and it actually enhances the flavours instead of just adding a salty taste. Really recommended!

A great artisan product
I love the fact that this salt is produced by a family run. business on the Isle of Skye. So, let’s get the elephant in the room - It’s pretty pricey at around twenty quid for a 500g bag of salt. Remember, though, that what you are getting here is an artisan product. The salt is harvested from the seas off the north coast of the Isle of Skye. As a product, it has won a number of awards - the Gold Best Product award 2018, the winner of the Scottish Retail Food and Drink awards 2021 and the Great Taste award 2022. All pretty impressive and a clear nod to the quality of this as a product. The crystals are quite small and solid. You can’t crush them between your fingers like you can with Maldon salt crystals. They are small enough, though, to be able to apply them directly to food without needing to grind them. I actually gave them a little grind in the pestle and mortar to reduce the size of the crystals a little more and to help things go a bit further.Overall, this is a great quality, artisan product. The price is probably a bit too rich for my blood, but don’t let that sway you. Only you will know whether you are prepared to fork out for a higher quality product.
