Val-Pak V38-162 Pump Lid Ultra Flow 94-Present

Product seems like it would be fine and model # matches, but it was too thin. It didn't create a seal so I couldn't use it. I received a timely refund though.

I was excited for my new lid to arrive to replace my old one that was developing cracks. Once I took it out of the package I noticed it felt a little lighter than my previous lid. No big deal in my book. I replaced the old one with the new one and I immediately noticed it was loose once I tried to tighten it. I turned the pump on and it sucked the loose pump lid down to form an air tight seal. Once I turn it off though a gush of water comes from around the seal and lets in air. I re-lubed the O ring which helped but we still do not have it air tight. I am contemplating sending it back and going with an OEM model but I may try replacing my O ring first. If the new O ring helps, I will update my review.

Found it! Hard product to find because pool pump is dated. So far it hasn’t cracked. However, It’s a little pricey.

Although it was a replace for the lid I had , the one I received is functional it doesn’t fit tightly as the old one did!
