I am on the third order now, absolutely love this sunscreen. My face looked dewy and spotless. It is not completely translucent despite it's claim. The power give my face a light glow, very natural and not over the top. The tube fits in my purse for outing and I uses it for sunscreen reapplication throughout the day. The only draw back is the price. It is quite expensive for the amount of power in it. My friends notice my face skin looked glowy and asked me to recommend this product. It goes on light and I use it as a loose powered over my face. I worn no make up but the effect made me looked like I have. I can tell a perfect complexion showing in my pictures. To save cost, I only use this sunscreen when I go out. When I am home, I reapply using other sunscreen products.

I've tried several versions of this portable powder mineral sunscreen and this one works best for me. I like the application and the color. Great to use on the go when you aren't sure if you'll be outside or not and for touch ups. Nice natural makeup looking finish.

I bought this recently and used it a couple of times. I love both the product and the idea. Product looks great on skin, and really helps with the shine. Convenient for reapplications. No burns, so it works. But, the container that holds the powder came off after a few uses, and the contents completely spilled. It happened on a public countertop, so I could not salvage it by scooping it up (for hygiene reasons). I think the problem is that the cap screws in, but only twists once. It therefore became loose with minimal effort. Unfortunately, the packaging wasted 35 of my hard-earned dollars. Issue aside, it is a great product that I wish I still had :(

** May 2022 ** The pandemic hit, so I was mostly staying home. I also had my first child & noticed my skin take a huge hit, so I wanted to get back to taking better care of it. I was searching high and low for another SPF powder and kept coming back to this one. The price has increased from $17 since I last purchased it. My skincare regimen has mostly stayed the same, but I've updated some items here and there. I also now follow the skincare routine from the book, Pure Skin, which is inspired by the minimal Japanese skincare of geishas: 1. Purify: Camellia (tsubaki) oil for oil cleansing 2. Polish: Rice bran powder to exfoliate 3. Plump: Alteya Organics flower waters (AM: rose & chamomile, PM: rose & lavender) to hydrate 4. Nourish: Camellia oil to moisturize 5. Protect: Derma-E SPF Powder mixed with silk powder When touching up the spf powder, I set it with Alteya rose water. Adding the silk powder to the SPF powder is optional but it really helps with smoothing out my complexion & silk is just so good for your skin in general! ** Previous Review from 2020 ** I'm now in my 30s and have been mistaken for being in college! After 2 years, this SPF powder is still my favorite. I've tried similar products from high-end makeup stores, but their ingredients and price point don't come close to Derma-E's mineral powder. I highly recommend it! Ok, I will say today is the first day Im using it, so I might update this review. But right away I am in love! Goes on evenly, blends in with my skin tone, which is light, but not "Fair". I was a die hard Colorscience Sunforgettable user for years in color Medium, if this helps. However, I could not afford this anymore and sought an alternative. I am super happy with this so far. it feels light, not cakey. I had no problems getting the product to come out, nor getting the brush to retract back into the tube - as other reviewers have said. Perhaps it depends on manufacturing and they may have improved this since those reviews. I will assume it IS waterproof or AT LEAST water resistant, as I spilled some in my sink by mistake and was unable to get it off without some serious elbow grease and some spray thing like 409! It DEFINITELY did not easily get splashed down the drain! As to sun protection, I always use a lotion SPF everyday including in the winter and on cloudy days,. this is my touch up method of protection for a 2nd or even 3rd layer. So far I really recommend this. Maybe I'm premature in writing a review, I was just so pleasantly surprised, I couldn't resist! If you have Prime (which I do) its worth a shot. you can always return it if there is a problem. Great Value!

I don't usually wear make-up unless I'm going somewhere special. Recently though, my goal has been to take better care of my skin, especially in the sun. I found a great SPF face lotion that I really like but I wanted a translucent powder to go over it so that my skin would look matte and not shiny throughout the day. I wanted one with SPF as well since you are supposed to re-apply throughout the day and really, who does that over the course of a normal day with a lotion. When I saw this product I was excited. It sounded perfect, was at the right price point and seemed to have all the features I was looking for. I will say that it does keep my skin matte all day, it evens out my skin tone, and I feel as though it provides extra protection from the sun. I also like that it's super easy to throw in my purse and re-apply as needed throughout the day. That being said, this powder is NOT my idea of translucent. There is a definite color to it and it is bordering on being too dark for my skin tone. It definitely looks like I'm wearing foundation which isn't really the look I was going for. If you have super light skin, or even a very dark skin tone for that matter, this powder probably won't work for you. On the attached photo you can see the amount of color that comes off of my face on the tissue from this. This powder was all I had on when I rubbed the tissue over my face. I'm going to keep it and continue to use it because other than the color issue this meets all of my needs. Once I run out however, I will probably search for another powder that doesn't have so much color. EDIT- Since someone wanted to comment on my review and try to claim that "translucent" doesn't refer to a product not leaving color, I just want to add the following: According to an article written, Scott Miselnicky, Clinique’s VP of makeup global product development states: "though they look white to the naked eye, a true translucent powder is meant for just about every skin tone because it turns invisible when applied to the skin. " The definition of a translucent powder from Sally Beauty states: "Translucent powder is a sheer, colorless facial powder usually used to set makeup, not to cover or add color. It can also be used just to control shine and give the complexion a matte finish." So yeah, considering this powder wasn't by any stretch of the imagination white, nor is it "invisible when applied to the skin", nor is it "colorless" or "sheer" I would still affirm and stand by my original review that it is NOT translucent by any definition.

I’m a skincare junkie and SPF is absolutely essential for me. I always use a moisturizer or primer with built in SPF, but since I wear makeup over it, reapplying has been a challenge. That’s where this powder comes in. I love that it comes with a built-in brush which makes application a breeze. I use this two ways: as my translucent/setting powder over my mineral foundation and under my highlighter and bronzer/blush OR as my finishing powder/final step on top of ALL my makeup. If you’re using this over your makeup, just be aware that it will tone down the pigment of your blush/bronzer slightly. This can actually be a good thing if you over-applied. It does look a little powdery on the skin, but I minimize this by following up with setting spray (which also contains SPF). In terms of pigment, it can look somewhat light and ashy on me but only if I don’t buff it in well enough. For reference, my skin is medium-tan with warm/yellow undertones. Overall, this is great as a finishing powder and the packaging is convenient. You can keep it in your makeup bag or purse and reapply on the go. It’s just perfect. I will definitely repurchase!

I just bought this product as a substitute to the usual Sunscreen products in cream/lotion form. This product is unscented, easy to use and very light! It’s still too early to tell whether I will have Milia seeds after using this but so far, it looks promising.
