MarshalltownMXS77DSS 18-inch Stainless Steel Trowel - Durasoft Handle

Took me a while to get used to this trowel but now I love it. It's great for wiping out large walls/ceilings quickly and troweling up. It's too cumbersome for small fiddly areas and you'll need a smaller trowel to do these, but you probably knew that already. Knocking in to the corners and around door frames it rocks as it does such a large area at once, it saves a lot of time. Being stainless steel it doesn't rust which has it's obvious benefits but stainless is more abrasion resistant so will take longer to wear in. I helped it along in the wearing in process by using a polishing mop on the bench grinder with some polishing compound, just enough to smooth the corners and get a good polish along the edge. Only took about ten minutes, worked like a charm. This thing spreads fast and flat, brilliant.

The best trowel for plastering. High quality product. This things last forever if maintained.

Had a big ceiling to skim and thought this might make the job a bit easier, it's just too big, used it for 5 minutes then threw it in the corner and cracked on with my 14" SS trowel.

I've been a plasterer for 15 years and this is the worst trowel I've bought, a complete waste of money!!!!
