Sturdy Cat House..
Bought this for a stray that showed up. Cat is skiddish. Not sure if it uses it. That being said, I throw treats in it. And they are always gone next day.. I would definately purchase this. Sturdy, Waterproof, You can wash htg pad cover. It actually is a crate with 2 exits so cat won't get trapped by predators.. Htg pad works great..Wish I had another for inside cat that likes to hang in garage off and on..

Roomy Sturdy Heated Cat House!
This cat house arrived in good order, and we put it together in about 30 minutes. It had good directions included, and it came together easily. We have a number of cat houses for the outside cats, so we have some experience with the different features and what we like. The features for these vary from house to house, but these are the ones I look for: sturdiness, warmth capacity (includes heating, insulation and minimal air holes), quality of waterproofing, escape door, cord quality, and size. This one is very sturdy as it is built around a metal cage. It doesn't rest on feet but the cage itself is slightly elevated; however, if you put this on the ground, the cover, which attaches with velcro, will be directly on the ground. This will not be an issue with us since it will be on a covered deck, but it would be if we were going to put it on grass. The sides and top are waterproof, and the bottom is, too, aside from the possibility of water seeping through the velcro. The heating pad has a soft cover and works well. It has no heat adjustments, just on or off which is achieved by plugging it in or not. The cover has no additional insulation on the inside and top, though waterproof and fairly thick. There is a pad insert that goes on the bottom of the cage below the heating pad, so there are 3 layers on the bottom of the cage including the cover, the pad, and the heating pad. The doors have velcro attached see through covers with a cut down the middle to encourage cats to come in. The attachments close well and there are two doors so that escape is easy and available. The cord comes easily out the side but is not a chew proof cord. The size of this cat house floor is about 20x18 inches so it has the potential for several cats or a Mother cat and her kittens.I like this cat house and think that the outside cats will enjoy it this winter. I wish the insulation on the top and walls was just a bit thicker, but it has some excellent features for keeping the cats warm and protected. I do recommend this cat house!

Ingenious folding design
With six feral felines hanging around, we are eager to offer them someplace to hide out of the wind. This cat house arrives in a flat box. The product cleverly unfolds to form a rigid cage/box without any tools! While there are instructions, many DIYers will be able to sort this puzzle out with no problem. The metal bars and construction seem heavy enough to handle most any weather-related weight. The metal parts appear well-coated in black paint with no sign of wear on arrival. A canvas-weight nylon bag goes over and under the cage box sealing with velcro. Looks good! HINT: easily overlooked, the doors are not placed in the center of each side. This asymmetry means that the orientation of the cover must be determined before trying to put the cover on. If you get it wrong, the cage box doors will not align with the door openings on the cover. The house comes with heavy plastic panels to cover each entrance attached with velcro. Another plus is that the floor is raised about 1.5 inches off the ground. A thin dense pad is provided to cover the wire floor. The heating pad fits nicely inside. The heating pad has no controls and appears to have no power indicators? I plan to use this heating pad with a separately purchased temperature regulated switch. The electric cord is substantial but not covered in steel as some pet products are to prevent chewing. The outdoor ferals are accustom to using cardboard boxes for shelter. In order to get them to consider this house, we spritz it with Feliaway pheromones and, for the purpose of luring them in, a few kibbles wer left inside the first day. As expected, no hesitancy checking out this house. Since cat food attracts a constellation of pests, we only offered the kibbles once as an enticement to enter the house. Using a webcam equipped with infrared for night time viewing, the reflection of cat eyes peering out from inside the house brings a degree of satisfaction. While the house is sized for multiple cats, we have only observed one cat at a time. The outdoor ferals (4 females, 2 males, all neutered) seem to be loners. We are placing this house on a roofed wood deck. If you place this house out in the yard/garden your experience may be different.
