This is NOT a UL listed product, so it's for the DIYer because a licensed electrician is not likely to install this for you. The switch mechanism is rather loose and sloppy. The pivot action causes one leg of the circuit to disconnect much sooner than the other. There are many plastic components that seem like a low quality plastic. The green transfer switch handle is completely plastic and Very flexable, it feel like it would break easily, it is Not spring assisted as some of the high quality transfer boxes are. When it is -5⁰ this winter and I pull the switch, will it shatter like glass in my hand? I would pass on this one and any of the others that are similar. 1/2 the price of a name brand but less than 1/2 the quality. You want a transfer swith that will last Decades, not a few months. Picked this switch up and man, this thing is a beast! Right off the bat, you can tell it's built to handle serious power.The double-throw mechanism makes switching between the grid and generator straightforward, and the 2-pole, 4-wire configuration handles 120/240 volts like a pro. The overall build and quality is also great aswell. Installation is pretty simple if you're comfortable with electrical setups, but even if you’re not, your electrician will appreciate the clear labeling and solid terminals. It’s heavy-duty without being overly bulky, so it fits into standard spaces without any hassle. The safety features are a nice touch too; you can tell this switch was made with reliability in mind. All in all, this transfer switch gives solid peace of mind for anyone who needs a dependable power transfer system at home or a small business.

Overall, I am pleased with this transfer switch. It is well made and has a good solid feel to it. The switch positively locks in place and makes a good solid connection. As far as price I am thrilled, this switch was a lot less expensive than I was anticipating. I would buy it again. 5 STARS

This generator transfer switch arrived intact, in new condition, and appropriately packaged inside a generic box that displayed signs of moderate wear and tear. No instruction manual was found with this item, but there was a wiring diagram under the access panel. Upon inspection, I could not find any safety or code compliance symbols. To be fair, I do not know if they are required for items like this, but I figure it is worth noting. Overall, this seems like a pretty good switch. It firmly holds it "on" position. It appears well built. I would recommend.
