The Ornamental Kitchen Garden (BBC Gardeners' World)

Geoff Hamilton was to me a proper gardener not a TV poser and his books are as good if not better than his TV programs. Highly recommended.

This book, which accompanies the TV series of the same name and is available in a DVD collection, is by Geoff Hamilton. Although it's over 20 years since he sadly died, he still remains the outstanding presenter of BBC's Gardeners' World. He had the magic touch that made everything both watchable and informative. This is well reflected in this book. Within its pages, you'll find everything you need to know about combining fruit and veg in a colourful garden that most people will surely love.

It's familiar and helpful but a bit dated now, the black & white photos are annoying but the advice Geoff Hamilton gives is what I bought the book for.

This has been my favourite gardening book for many years and in fact this purchase is not the first copy I have owned. It is a practical guide that incorporates everything you might need to know about having an attractive kitchen garden, even if you are a novice gardener.
