Fast, reliable 2TB upgrade with excellent performance
If you’re upgrading your storage, this is a serious performance boost. The 2TB capacity gives you plenty of room for games, large projects and general files without constantly juggling space.Speeds are where this drive really stands out. With sequential read speeds up to 7,250 MB/s, everything feels snappy. Boot times are quick, large game installs load fast, and transferring big files doesn’t drag. It’s ideal for gaming, content creation or heavy workloads. It supports PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 5.0 x2, so it’s flexible depending on your motherboard. Installation is straightforward if you’ve fitted an M.2 drive before. Just make sure your system supports the interface to get the full benefit.Thermal control is solid. The heat spreader label and Samsung’s Dynamic Thermal Guard help keep temperatures stable under load. It can warm up during sustained transfers, as expected, but performance stays consistent.Overall, this is a reliable high-performance SSD that delivers exactly what you’d expect from Samsung’s NVMe range.

Speed, capacity & price sweet spot hit.
In my opinion, the Sansung Evo range are amongst the best asSDs on the market and this evo990 2tb replaces a 1tb evo980 that has served my Gaming rig for many years.I was able to quickly clone my old drive onto the new one, using a seperate product and software and the new one booted up instantly on installation and has functioned perfectly since.Price and performance meet perfectly in this drive. Highly recommend this and anything in the Samsung Evo range.Check with your motherboard is compatible, but my Z390 worked with it no issues. Older boards with nvme m.2 slots may need bios updates.Note that some older boards have sata m.2 slots not compatible with nvme m.2 and your could damage your drive if you try and put one in the wrong slot. From experience with an older mbs you can get PCIE adpaters so you can connect your modern nvme m.2 drive via a spare pcie lane so you get the same blistering data transfer speeds. A bios update to the mb may be needed.

Blazing Fast, Reliable, and Perfect for High-Performance Builds
The Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB SSD has been a fantastic upgrade for my PC. Speeds are absolutely blistering—Samsung’s claim of up to 7250 MB/s reads true in real-world use, whether it’s gaming, video editing, or large file transfers.Installation was straightforward, fitting neatly into my M.2 slot with no issues. The drive stays cool thanks to efficient thermal management, and it’s noticeably faster than my previous PCIe 3.0 SSD, making boot times and application launches much snappier. The 2TB capacity is generous, giving me plenty of space for games, software, and projects without worrying about running out of storage. Plus, Samsung’s reputation for reliability and excellent software support makes this a very reassuring choice. If you’re looking for a top-tier NVMe SSD to future-proof your build, the 990 EVO Plus is hard to beat—great performance, great capacity, and solid endurance. Highly recommended!

Fast, reliable and great value
I have 2 of these now and theyre the best balance of quality and affordability in an M.2 drive. I trust samsung SSDs more than any others and these especially are a great speed for higher capacity storage. They do get warm when under heavy use but all m.2 will so makesure theyre attached to a heat sink and you wont have any problems.

Ridiculously fast… and I almost kept it for myself
Picked up the Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB NVMe (PCIe 4.0 x4 / 5.0 x2) for my daughter’s build, and it’s been absolutely flawless.Installation was simple, recognised instantly, and it’s seriously quick. Boot times are snappy, game loads are near instant, and file transfers feel effortless. Rated up to 7250 MB/s — and it genuinely feels like it.Thermals have been solid too, even under heavier use, and overall it’s just the kind of drive you install and forget about — in a good way. Now, full honesty moment… I did briefly consider swapping it into my own machine because it’s slightly better than what I’m running. Strong temptation. Very strong. But parental honour prevailed. If you’re building a modern system and want a fast, reliable 2TB NVMe that’ll handle gaming and general workloads without blinking, this is a fantastic choice.Five stars. Fast enough to make you question your own storage decisions.

Affordable and reliable, worth buying
In this era where SSDs are generally seeing significant price hikes, I'm very happy to have bought it for £96, of course, during the Prime Day sale. All in all, it's a decent deal: 2TB of storage, original chips, and a 5-year warranty. To be honest, Samsung's 0E issue was quite serious for a while, but I suppose the 990 Evo Plus, as a brand-new product, won't have similar problems anymore. I bought it to put it in an external SSD enclosure and use it as portable storage. The speed of 7,400 MB/s might be a bit overkill, but it’s for peace of mind. In any case, I recommend you buy it (of course, when the price is below £100).

Fast compare old one
Now it’s good performance my victus laptop. Don’t use 990Evo pro because it need heat sink. Laptop don’t have space. If you want you can use thermal pad it will go faster speed.

Great Upgrade and Worth the Money.
The SSD was a huge improvement over the default one came in the laptop, mine had a WD SN530 512GB, I got this one and the performance is really good, I can run around 7-8 VMs concurrently with heavy load in VMware Workstation Pro without the SSD bottlenecking and affecting performance.Definitely worth the price. If using a nvme enclosure and are getting a counterfeit warning, just check the serial number, if that matches it's genuine one. It will be flagged as genuine once you swap the internal SSD for this one.And the cloning is really good as well, do not panic at 99%, it takes around 20-30 minutes for that 99-100%, and the overall cloning via the Samsung magician will depend on how much actual storage has to be cloned.
