I was initially hesitant to purchase this chunky yarn due to a review mentioning it felt more like a cord than yarn, and as a hand knitter, a cord wouldn't work for me. However, I took a chance and bought it since it was returnable and at a great price. I'm so glad I did!This yarn is 1" thick, incredibly soft, and fluffy. It joins easily using the burn method and has shown no shedding while knitting or even when I unraveled a small sample piece. Out of the two skeins I've used, there have been zero knots.I will definitely be ordering more and highly recommend you give it a try. You won't be disappointed! My only critique is that I wish there were more color options available.

It’s listed as being 25 yards, but as I was knitting a blanket I realized there were inconsistencies as one ball completed 4 whole rows, but then another was only 2.5 rows and another about 3 rows. So I measured the remaining balls and it came out to only 21 yards, NOT 25!!! No wonder my blanket was looking small for the amount of yarn I was blowing through!!! So now I have had to place an ADDITIONAL order to get the blanket to the size needed, and my customer has to wait an additional 3 days. Fantastic. If only we lived in an honest world. No wonder they took the yarn out of the original packaging and wrapped it in ribbon lolI gave 2 stars instead of only one star because the yarn is good quality. If the seller hadn’t lied, it would’ve been 5 stars. So purchase this yarn knowing you may only get 21 yards/ skein, and plan your projects accordingly.

Cozyful #10 Chunky Chenille Yarn arrived packaged well and without damage. The yarn is large and soft, made with quality materials. The skeins are easy to work, no tangles or knots to deal with. The yarn works great with very large(20mm) crochet hooks or to hand knit with. Projects can be machine washed for easy care.

Most yarns for crocheting and knitting are made from smaller fibers twisted or braided together, but this yarn is more of a cord. I think it's good for beginners because of this! Splitting yarn is a common problem when starting out, and this allows you to get a feel for the stitches before you deal with splitting yarn. This does mean it won't be good for things like pom-poms, but maybe better for projects with tassels because you don't have to worry about fraying.
