It took me 3 days to figure them out but……
I’m the worst sleeper! I hated to go to bed at night because knew I would be miserable.I toss and turn all night and my husbands gets super early, and I just wake up with him making me exhausted all day long. I saw ad for sleep earbuds and purchased and returned several pairs from Amazon. I was sleeping in my apple ear pods trying to block out any noise I could but of course that wasn’t working either, they were so uncomfortable for side sleepers. I then reluctantly bought the Ozlo sleep buds and was very taken back by the price. I actually got $50 off.($299) because of a promotion. I figured I would return these as soon as I got them if they were uncomfortable like the previous pairs I purchased. It took me about three nights to get the fit in my ear, and to get them paired and to get them disconnected from the Bluetooth. Some of the annoying things that were happening just takes some patience on how to use them. I did connect with Customer Service and I did not appreciate the long list of things they tried to get me to do with a brand new pair of sleep earbuds that were connected to Bluetooth and up-to-date. However, I will say that for the first time in years, I am now sleeping soundly and not waking up to any noises. I set my alarm now because I have to, or I will sleep right through ‘till 7:30 AM! I am a side sleeper, and every once in a while, I get a tiny bit of discomfort, but most of the time with the sound blocking noises I sleep soundly. I wake up refreshed and in no pain. It has been a relief. I am fearful that they will break and I will be back to square one but so far so good! I will recommend that you are ready to go to sleep at night open the app on your phone, open your Ozlo case, connect the earbuds to your ears close the case go to sleep! In the morning open the app Connect the earbuds back into the Ozlo case make sure they are connected correctly,(the app shows you that they are connected correctly) and shut the case. The Bluetooth will then turn off if you don’t do the steps correctly, it will cause them to not work correctly. This took me three days to figure out sorry :-) but when I do these steps, everything is so nice. I go to sleep, listening to an audiobook, when I fall asleep, the earbuds go to sleep masking sounds automatically, my audiobook, pauses, and I am in a deep sleep until morning for the first time in years! This is a sincere true review, and I am still mad about the price, but I’m grateful for the small size of this noise blocking sleep earbud that actually works.

UPDATE: I have SO MUCH to say about these
After two years and two pairs of Ozlo earbuds, I have finally escaped what I can only describe as an emotionally abusive relationship with technology. I originally bought a pair for myself and another for my fiancé. Then one of my earbuds fell into the toilet during a middle-of-the-night bathroom trip (a loss insurance apparently considers a personal problem), so I commandeered his. Over those two years, Reddit and ChatGPT became my closest allies in the war against Ozlo. I’ve spent so much time troubleshooting these things that I’ve literally had to go on walks to calm down. I once found a secret Ozlo hard-reset webpage after exhausting approximately 30 other solutions. I’ve used it so often that I HAVE IT BOOKMARKED. And connectivity was just the beginning. There were also the little indignities I didn’t even realize I could live without: * The nightly treasure hunt: White earbuds. White bedding. Every morning, a search-and-rescue operation. * The escape artists: Not a single night without one falling out, despite trying every ear tip size. * The charging roulette: Carefully place buds in case. Clean contacts. Double-check placement. Wake up to a dead earbud anyway. * The troubleshooting circus: Smack the case really hard (an art I never mastered). Go downstairs, retrieve a sewing needle, and attempt to press a button apparently designed for ants. Neither ever worked. * The setup experience: An hour of my life I’ll never get back. And I got to do it THREE TIMES. My final connectivity battle involved swapping cases between my two pairs after deducing the earbuds themselves weren’t the problem. It worked! I was a genius! I had beaten the system! Until the next night. By then, I’d ordered Soundcore sleep earbuds out of desperation. It took ONE NIGHT with a different brand to realize how much nonsense I’d normalized. Setup? Three minutes. Earbuds falling out? Nope. Finding a missing bud? They’re PURPLE. And if I somehow lose one, I can MAKE IT BEEP. Revolutionary stuff. Connectivity? Nearly flawless. The occasional audio hiccup lasts less than a second instead of requiring a Reddit investigation and an emotional support walk. Battery life? Just as good. Sound quality? Better. Noise cancellation? Adjustable by TAPPING MY EARBUDS. And if I don’t want accidental taps changing things while I sleep, I can turn that off in the app. Speaking of the app, it does everything Ozlo’s does AND MORE. And I paid ALMOST HALF THE PRICE?!? I was so impressed after the first night that I threw away the packaging. There would be no return. I cannot get those two years back. I can, apparently, write an unnecessarily long Amazon review about them. If you’re considering Ozlo because of the relentless advertising, please know that there’s a whole world of sleep earbuds out there that don’t require an advanced degree in troubleshooting, a sewing needle, and a therapist. Maybe the newer Ozlos are better. Personally, I’ve lost the will to find out. Ozlo, get better. I’m sleeping with someone else now.

Customer service is the best.Any issues keep working with customer service they will make it right.
Updated: The earbuds continued to be very glitchy but customer service worked with me and replaced them. The new earbuds are perfect!! Everything I want them to be. They stay in my ears, play my audio book for the amount of time I dictate, then switch to sleep sounds. I now can rollover, change positions, even get up to use the toilet and they stay connected. These work better than my air pods for listening to a book while my husband listens to a game while driving. They are exactly what I need. And the customer service is fantastic. They worked with me over and over until they got the issues resolved with a replacement. They even sent them across the country to a different address since I was traveling at the time. Highly recommend. I was so frustrated with these ear buds when I first got them. They wouldn’t stay connected. I had to lay in one spot, not even lift my arm to keep them streaming my audible book. I tried everything in the video help guides, or so I thought. Then I reached out to customer support through the ear buds app. They responded very quickly and asked me to try all the things again. In addition they reminded me not to have my phone touching or too near the Ozlo case. Bingo!! That was the issue. Once I moved the case 8 to 10 inches away from my phone everything worked much better. They still, very occasionally cut out but will come back quickly. I can live with that. These are the perfect solution for me and I am sleeping so much better because of them. I set the Ozlo timer for 45 mins for my audible book. I can toss and turn all I want and the book continues to play. (The ear buds are more comfortable for side sleeping than anything else I have tried.). Then at 45 mins the buds switch to the sleep sounds. The buds do not totally block out all external noises but between the buds and the sleep sounds I don’t hear my husband snoring and apparently am able to sleep through him moving around our bedroom. They are a huge benefit for sleeping in the close quarters of our small RV. I have reached out to customer service a couple of times and each time they have responded witching 24hrs.

Effectively $300 Ear Plugs
*Changes Below... I have been extremely torn on whether to give these three or four stars. I would say 3.5, but I can't, and I can't say they are a full 4/5. Despite what I am about to say, I am very glad these exist. I am glad people are trying to do this after Bose proper decided to kill the product/project. Good sleep is so important for health, and for me, noise is one of my biggest problems when I'm trying to sleep. And I travel for work. I spend about half my nights NOT at home, and it isn't fun. I have to have tools to block noise. My wife started snoring after child two. It's off and on. Ear plugs and sound machine wouldn't do it. I am not sure whether these block it because she doesn't always do it. But she hasn't woken me up in the couple weeks I've had them. One big issue is that if you're side sleeping, the snoring comes through the bed and pillow, regardless of sound machine or ear plugs, which is what I hope these solve. That said, are these better than ear plugs and a white noise sound machine? Maybe, but not by much. At least not at a volume that will last the night. I will say these are way more comfortable than ear plugs. That is an amazing step. But, $300. The description says "up to 10 hours of Bluetooth LE Streaming." That is being VERY generous. I've used basically exclusively the power saving Bluetooth mode which turns off streaming after 10 minutes, and with volume set between 64% and 75%, and after 7-8 hours of use, I have woken up with them at between 5% and 10%. In my picture, you can see the left is at 7% and the right at 10%. The fact that they aren't evenly draining when brand new is concerning. 64% volume also isn't that loud with my chosen sound. If I had to crank these up, I doubt they would get me through the night. Might I also remind you that Li-Ion batteries have so many charge cycles in them before they lose capacity. 300-500 is the general limit. So if you use these every day, with them barely scraping through a night's sleep as new, I doubt they will last much over a year. $300. Another issue I've been having is when I go onto my side, if I don't rest my head just right on the pillow, somehow the earbud sound gets blocked in that ear. I am not sure if it's just me or the earbuds. I have actually had that wake me up a couple times because I was moving around and the sound would stop and start in my pillow ear. I still use my sound machine with these, so I might try using the sleep timer off since falling asleep is the hard bit, and it should prolong the battery life. One thing I hate is the case. I really do. It has a slide open, spring assisted lid. I frequently find the case open in my travel bag and they're connecting to my phone unwanted. It's nice and all. It feels nice to open, and it's a clever, different design. But I think there's a reason most use a clam shell hinge open case. In practice, this doesn't work all that well. The bottom line is, if you have tried ear plugs and white noise sound machines (lectro fan is awesome), these may be a good step, if you have the money. But don't spend money you can't afford if you haven't tried the other things. Overall, I would say these are very impressive. They do last the night at this point. But I am worried they won't do that for long if I need sound all night. Hilariously, the alarm is advertised to not startle you or your partner. Yeah... The other day was the first time I recall being startled awake by an alarm (that wasn't my backup scary alarm), and me jerking awake also woke my partner. They are right in your ear and they don't ramp up like my phone alarm. They just go. But I probably would get used to it and not do that. The tech is certainly cool. The way it stores sounds on board and reconnects to sound your alarm is a neat way to conserve precious battery. If these were $150-200, or the battery life was much more promising, I would give a solid 4 or 5 stars. Edit: After a month of wearing these off and on, and every night at home and thinking they were working, it turns out I was just already sleeping at the right times. Just like before I used them. I have finally tested them against snoring, air conditioning fans, etc. Anything that produces a low rumble just comes straight through. I just woke up having to take care of business. My sleep timer had already shut them off. So I started them back up. Snoring. I changed them from 66% to 100% volume. Still there. The snoring just rumbles straight through the pillow, blanket, etc. I would honestly say that these are equally effective as ear plugs and a good sound machine like a $40 Lectro Fan. These still are more comfortable than any ear plugs I've tried. But Lectro Fan will 100% last the night at whatever volume you set.

Side Sleeper on Ozlo
2024 has been a rough year. I manage my stress, anxiety, and depression in several ways tut this year has added a new facet to my complex of issues: light sleeping. I’ve always slept a little lightly, being woken up by a sound every few nights– sometimes in combination with insomnia. As well I often have trouble actually falling asleep. But in the last six months this has been particularly bad– with any little sound, snore, or cat scratching waking me up and forcing me to go back through another long stage of falling back asleep. I’ve tried several things to alleviate this. Some of this is my own making– drinking a lot of caffeine, though I’ve been trying to cut that off earlier in the day. So I thought about ways I could help with this. I didn’t want a white sound generator– the notes I’ve seen on those are iffy about how well they work and I didn’t want to put my wife through that. She falls asleep pretty quickly and I don’t want to mess with her steady cycle. So I tried a couple of different earplugs: foam and silicone putty. Neither kept the sounds out really and both felt uncomfortable in my ears. Then I saw the Ozlo Sleepbuds advertised on a YouTube channel. I looked into it and saw pretty solid reviews here, though who can trust those these days? They were pricey and I had poor experiences with earbuds before (not fitting, not syncing up with the bluetooth on my PC, cutting out). But there was a small Black Friday coupon and I figured if they didn’t work I would just return them. The set came with a metal charging case, USB cord, two earbuds, and several different ear canal attachments. Remarkably the default ones felt pretty good in my ears. They’re relatively small and have “wings” which fit upwards helping to keep them set in your ears. They sat much better and more comfortably than any other earbuds I’d tried. But I wasn’t sure what they would feel like given I’m a side-sleeper. But they worked pretty well: I can still feel them there, but they’re not painful or itchy. I have had to pop them out when I have gotten an itch, but that’s been rare and they go and out pretty easily. At the same time they stay solidly in my ears– it never feels like they’re going to fall out at all. Really great design on that side. They also don’t get hot, which is another thing I worried about. They come with an app which you pretty much have to use a phone (or maybe tablet) for. They use bluetooth and out of the box there was a significant update patch (about an hour) for the buds and the case. The app comes with several different sleep sounds– a couple were a little artificial for me and a couple had too much sound motion for my taste (the ocean waves in particular). I’ve pretty much stuck with the waterfall one (after the rainfall one) because it has a little variety of sound, but nothing offputting. I started with just the sound the first couple of nights. It helped– I had it up pretty loud (85/100), but my wife couldn’t hear it. I still heard some things outside–door closing, a loud snore, sirens, etc, but everything else got eliminated. I didn’t exactly sleep, but yet I did. It is hard to explain. I definitely stay in a sleep state throughout the night. In particular it helped with the falling asleep part: I still had difficulties falling asleep but the sounds gave me something to focus on and I wasn’t in a “god I wish I could fall asleep loop” like I usually got. I moved out of deep and shallow sleep during the night, but it felt much better than it had for a long time. The app has an alarm which works decently. It's especially nice because the alarm doesn’t wake my wife up. After a couple of days I tried another element of the app, the ability to transition from something you’re else to the sleep sounds. The app has a beta for something which supposedly detects when you fall asleep. [I realized later that the "fall asleep app" and the delay are two distinct things, and I've edited the review to reflect that]. Optionally, you can then set a delay for it to kick over to the app’s sounds. I have it set for 90 minutes right now and it has switched at the same point in what I’m listening to over the course of a couple of nights. I can’t handle anything too chaotic so I’ve tried a couple of different Apple Music playlists. I’ve tried different combinations of low-key Philip Glass music (film scores, Low & Heroes symphonies, a couple of the operas), but I’ve also tried a playlist made up of Christopher O’Riley’s piano transcriptions of Radiohead. Those have worked pretty well– though I’ve been aware of the transition between music and sound each night: there isn’t a fade in/fade out. So I’m pretty happy with these and I’m not dreading trying to fall asleep. And importantly it has cut out much of that just getting to sleep anxiety attacks that I used to have. Being able to focus on the music really helps. The earbuds do have a couple of cons. They need the app, which is available on Android or Apple. But that means they won’t sync with Windows. The Bluetooth set up there doesn’t recognize them as audio devices. I’m sure that someone with skill could find a Windows app to get around that. The other con is that while they play nice with the Ozlo app, they do have a little crackle and pop with Apple Music and Audible– but only a little and only for the first little bit of the listening. It isn’t much and it weirdly feels like it has to have some time to dial in on things. It is a small bug but worth noting. Also depending on how you sleep, your muscle jaw position sometimes changes the effective volume. I don’t exactly know how to explain it, but given how it sits in your ear, small changes can happen. Pros: Feels good in the ears, stays in, doesn’t hurt while side sleeping, decent app, can combine with another audio app Cons: Pricey, eliminates enough outside sound I wouldn’t use it if I was living alone, doesn’t work with a Windows PC right now (so can’t use them with Zoom which would be nice), has some crackle at the initial start of listening apps other than the default Ozlo one. If you’re going to try these, but buy it from some place with a decent return policy– they’re good but I can see how these wouldn’t work for everyone.

I can sleep again! Five ⭐️’s
I adore my husband and he’s the love of my life, but I CANNOT sleep with his snoring and the TV on. I discovered the Bose Sleepbuds 2 several years ago and they worked great. In fact, I bought two sets so that I had one as a backup. Well, they ended up getting to the point where they’d die before I was ready to get up and I’d immediately wake up when the white noise turned off. That’s bound to happen eventually and I had gotten a few years out of them. Also, one of my dogs got a hold of one of the buds that slipped out of my ears, and she chewed it up, so that set was toast. I couldn’t replace them because Bose discontinued the product and I was absolutely heartbroken. Not even kidding. I need sleep! I bought another brand I’d never heard of before on Amazon and they were okay, but I could still hear the snoring and TV and they never made it to the morning. Note: the max amount of sleep I get per night is maybe 6 1/2 - 7 hours, so it’s not like I’m sleeping 9-10 hours a night. So, imagine my pure delight when I discovered that three former Bose engineers founded a startup called Ozlo that makes sleepbuds! I ordered them immediately, they were delivered the same day, and I used them that night. They are even better than the Bose were! They’re very similar, but have a few new features that we didn’t have before. To start, they’re actually comfortable and don’t fall out of my ears at night. I’m a side sleeper and tend to move around a lot. More importantly, they block out all the snoring and TV noises. I haven’t tried this yet, but you have options to stream other things. too (e.g., audio book, music, meditation, etc.). Whereas, you only had the white noise options with the Bose. The alarm options are nice and actually peaceful, as well. They are not jarring like most of the iPhone alarms are. These sleepbuds are kind of pricey, but 100% worth it. If you need white noise or need to block out snoring, BUY THESE!

I want these to be perfect so badly
I bought these after having the first-gen Anker Soundcore Sleep Buds for a while. Those were nice, but the battery life was too short to make it through the night. I’ve had the Ozlo sleep buds for nearly a year now. As comfortable sleep buds go, these are great. My only comfort-related complaint is that my ears get sweaty. My biggest complaint and the most important reason I’ll be looking at alternatives is the Bluetooth connection reliability. I bought the sleep buds to help me fall asleep and stay asleep. Unfortunately, my experience is that far too often the Bluetooth connection doesn’t work, requiring me to perform some routine of putting the buds back in the case and taking them out, putting them back in and out again, or fiddling with the settings to get the connection to start working again. When I’m trying to fall asleep, I don’t want to be aggravated and messing with the settings on my phone, but unfortunately, that’s at least a once-a-week experience with these. It’s also very often that I will start an audiobook or podcast to fall asleep too, and it will suddenly go silent for no reason, requiring me to pause and play the audio again. This only happens with these Ozlo buds. The range is very short, but that isn’t an issue as I have the case directly next to my phone, also charging, and they’re both next to me on the nightstand, and I use them only for sleep. The connection issues have become a deal breaker for me, especially for the price. It has been an issue across multiple iPhones at this point. If you’re just using these for sleep sounds, these are good but for $300 that’s too much. The Bluetooth streaming has been continuously problematic, and I’ve had to look for something else. It’s just too frustrating. Pros: - The battery life on these is amazing. - The build quality of the buds and the case is great. - The sound quality is great. - The app works well and looks nice. - Comfort Cons: - The price. - Constant Bluetooth connection issues.

Worth $50, not $300
I find it relaxing to listen to audiobooks/podcasts while falling asleep. After using regular earbuds for this for years, I decided to splurge on myself and get a dedicated sleepbud-type product. I picked the Ozlo sleepbuds expecting a premium product experience for the $300 price point. The reality is they are a fussy, buggy product that is (to be fair) quite decent when it works and is awful when it doesn't. I would return these if I wasn't past the return window on Amazon. Here are more detailed pros/cons I have found after using them for 4 months: Pros: - The fit and comfort level is quite good. You can sleep on your side while they are in. - The battery life is good enough to get through a night of sleep on a charge. Cons: - They often don't connect properly to my phone, so I have to repeat specific steps to get them working. Put them both in the case, ensure they are seated properly, open the app, open the case lid, then wait for them to connect in the app before I can take them out and use them. Not a huge deal but again, its fussy. - The sleepbuds must be kept close to the case (like 10 feet), or they will disconnect, forcing you to potentially repeat all the connection steps above if they bug out. So you can't walk out of a room without the case unless you're willing to risk disconnecting them. - The case must be kept charged, in addition to the sleepbuds. If the case has no charge, then the sleepbuds don't work. Maybe that's obvious to some people, but it is an entire additional device & battery to manage. - The case design, while clever, has a very flimsy hinge. It's not the type of case you can throw in a backpack full of gear and expect to survive. I don't have any faith it would survive even a short drop. Given how critical the case is to the device operation, this is doubly concerning. - There are random and intermittent audio quality issues even when the devices are well-charge and located close; pops and audio sources cutting in/out briefly. - After ~3 months of use, my left sleepbud developed an issue where it plays at less than half the volume of the right sleepbud. I can't hear anything from it unless the volume on my phone is maxed out. Emailing tech support got me a list of basic troubleshooting steps which I followed but did not resolve the issue. They have failed to respond to my request for what next to try (3 days and counting...). [update 4/8: It took support 7 days to respond to my email. By this time I had reset the sleepbuds using the 'pinhole' reset button on the case and the left earbud audio was restored. Email support had never suggested this as a step to try, not sure why...I had to figure it out from reading other people's issues.] - Update 12/10/2025: The left earbud went back to only playing at half the volume. I have tried all troubleshooting steps and the issue remains. I've given up on fixing this and just have been using it as-is. - Update 3/6/2026: The sleepbuds now disconnect from the case very frequently, even if they're close to the case and phone (even a few feet). I don't know if this was caused by a recent firmware update, or what happened. I would consider them unreliable to the point of being unusable. They're more like pair of earplugs now. I'm really disappointed.

Best sleepbuds on the market
I bought these as a replacement for my Bose Sleepbuds, which lasted around two years before developing technical issues. Overall, they feel very similar, with a few improvements. Yes, they are expensive, but they are the only sleep earbuds that really work for me. They are incredibly comfortable, unlike many comparable products where the earpieces feel too bulky and uncomfortable, especially for side sleeping. I can wear these all night without any issues. The sounds do a great job of masking snoring, which is the main reason I use them, and they perform very well in that regard. The app is straightforward and easy to use, and connectivity has been solid. One improvement I really like is the ability to stream audio from other sources, which was not possible with the Bose Sleepbuds. I also like that once your streaming finishes, the earbuds automatically revert back to your chosen sleep sound. As an Android user, the sleep biometrics feature is not currently working and just says “coming soon,” but that is not something I bought them for anyway. I do hope many of the tech issues that affected the Bose version have been sorted with these. Overall, if you are looking for comfortable sleep earbuds that effectively mask noise, these are excellent.

Top Quality- great replacement for Bose Sleepbuds.
Bought these as a replacement for my Böse Sleepbuds which I loved but had problems with that couldn’t be fixed. These are perfect - every bit as good as the Böse were but with none of the battery problems. As a bonus, they can be used as ’normal’ earbuds to listen to anything, then when that ends- switch automatically to the sleep sounds.

I was skeptical but now I'm a believer
As someone who sleeps with air buds in my ears every night, I've been on the quest for great sleep buds for years. I've been switching between my apple air pods which hurt my ears often, and a raft of different cheaper sleep buds from Amazon and other online stores. I was reluctant to drop $399 on these Ozlo sleepbuds, but after ready positive review after positive review I bit the bullet. Only only two days in, but I can confirm that they are the best sleep buds I've owned (and I've owned many) - and the first that actually last all night long with battery life! They're comfortable for side sleeping and really do cut out the outside world. So far they are a total win.
