Gum syrup is better than simple sugar
Smooth mouth feel, dark brown sugar undertones, goes great in cocktails to help round out a cheaper edgier bourbon. Easy to pour & use.

This is a perfect Demerara Gum Syrup
I usually make my own Demerara Gum Syrup, which is a kind of a long process because it involves cooking it in a sous vide bath for two hours. This product is a perfect replacement for my homemade syrup. I had a big cocktail party last night, and the Old-Fashioned’s that I made with this syrup were wonderful. The gum arabic increases the viscosity of the drink and gives it a luscious mouthfeel, without making the drink sweeter. I just might continue to buy this product instead of making my own Demerara Gum Syrup. It’s rather expensive, but you’ll only use about 1/2 ounce (15 ml) per drink. And it saves me a lot of time, which is definitely worth a few dollars!

Makes the perfect old fashioned
I love this stuff. I have been using Gary's old fashioned mix for the last few years and I liked it a lot, but this stuff is even better. You must add your own bitters, since this is just the sweetness. It takes up hardly any room in the fridge. I only use 1/4 once per drink and now I can make an old fashioned with a different bitters if i want.

Delicious alternative to regular simple syrup
This is delicious and brings a nice complexity to our Old Fashioned cocktails. I taste a richness that isn’t there with plain simple syrup. This is our permanent choice now!
