This will also make for an excellent bag for traveling since this can turn into a crossbody, freeing your hands and securing your stuff in front of you while you’re sightseeing or shopping. As small-format, formal or dressy purses go, this Hudson from Kate Spade New York is beautiful! Every detail is flawless as is the pebbled leather. It includes both a short strap and a crossbody strap, and the mechanism of the strap clips is very secure, so however you choose to setup a strap, it's gonna stay put. The strap edges are sealed for the smooth edge look. The inside lining and tags are all perfectly done, and it seems that this purse received the kid glove treatment from start to finish. A presentation and storage bag is included folded up inside, as you'd expect, so you can keep it protected when you're not using it. Size-wise, this purse is big enough to store a modern smart phone, lip sticks, keys, and some small odds and ends, but it's not going to hold a big multi-card/checkbook combo wallet or anything that bulky, assuming you wish to zip it closed. It's perfectly sized for those formal occasions involving dinner and a show or a night on the town.If you're purchasing this as a gift for someone else, do be aware that it does arrive in packed-to-ship format, not in retail box. The straps, zipper pulls, makers logo tab, and all the other elements come in individually wrapped loops of protective soft foam sheeting, the presentation and storage bag is inside the purse with the second strap, and the whole thing comes in a sealed clear plastic poly bag. It is 110% protected from all imaginable warehouse wear & tear, and impressively so, but if you're gifting it and the recipient is the fancy formal type, you might want to do the unwrapping process and then place it into the presentation bag, or you might want to carefully unzip it enough to get the presentation bag out and just leave all the protective elements on as you put it into the bag.It is abundantly clear that the Kate Spade brand's commitment to quality remains exceptionally strong, and this purse is a valuable addition to the wardrobe right next to that perfect pair of pumps and the LBD.

This is a nicely made purse. For me, I consider this bag to on the larger size of one that I would use. That being said, it can hold a lot. It's got a zipper pocket on one exterior side and another with magnetic closer on the opposite side. There is also an inside pocket. The longer strap is perfect length to use as a crossbody. It is pebbles leather, not smooth at all. A dust bag is included. It only comes in a plastic bag so something to think about if gifting.

I like this way more than I anticipated. I wear it cross body and it is the perfect size. I don't like a bag too big or it pulls on my neck. This is perfect for a night out or running to the store. It has nice firm sides so nothing falls out. The zipper is good quality and so is the inside fabric so I don't feel like it is going to fall apart. This is a fantastic fall bag.
