Highly Recommend.I am very picky about what brand names I will buy - for any items that plug in to our home and heat up. Berkshire is a brand that I can trust.I used to be miserable in the Fall. The days would be 85 degrees and the nights would go down to 40 degrees. I don't like turning our our central heat until it is cold during the day as well. Drives me crazy to run the Air Conditioning during the day and then run the Heat at night. Such a waste.It is a battle every single year.If you are like me - these blankets may be your answer! These heated throws are the answer for me! What a difference! Perfect size. With full bed sized electric heated blankets - my husband doesn't want the heat on his side. You can't drag those blankets around the house. Having these throws instead, I can heat up just my side of the bed or just on me - no matter where I am sitting.I am cold natured. I feel so cold - all the time. I dread leaving the house if the temperature is lower than 60 degrees. My husband and son don't need the heat on - I do. Even if I put socks on, my feet remain cold inside the socks. Makes me cold to the bone.I finally found a heated blanket that I can sit at my desk with. I can sit up in bed with. I can drag to the kitchen table if I need to :)The best part? I can heat up my feet when they feel like ICE! Knocks the chill completely off. I am no longer miserable. This is a huge thing!Truly 5 out of 5 stars. I got this Berkshire Blanket Heated Throw Blanket for my always-chilly family room that has three outside walls and is on the north side of the house. We use a lot of throws to keep us cozy, and it seems like most of them are Christmas prints, so when I saw this very pretty light gray plaid, I knew it would look good no matter the season.The throw is made of a silky soft minky fabric on one side and a long fur ("Grace fur," the listing calls it) on the other. It is sooo soft and cuddly, but quite staticky, and it's only October here. I can't imagine how much static electricity it will generate in the very dry winter months... at the very least, it will ensure I don't forget to drag out the humidifier!The cord for this blanket is the thickest ever. Like an outdoors drop cord (but white), and it's very long (a good thing). Over-engineering is better than under-engineering, I guess. The power button is not on the fat part you'd expect to find it--there is a power indicator light there, but the power button is on the blanket itself. Pushing the button cycles through the heat settings, from off to the lowest heat, to higher heats, to off again. I found the lowest heat to be plenty warm (again, October), but I'm looking forward to the higher settings this winter.Note: the body of the listing mentions the blanket has a dual controller, but it's a single control. I imagine it was a copy-and-paste from a larger heated blanket listing.I haven't washed it yet, of course, but the listing says it's machine washable and dry-able, although it recommends removing from the dryer after just 10 minutes and line drying to finish it. My hope is that the nap remains looking like it does now after it's been washed. If it mats or otherwise looks terrible after following the washing instructions, I'll update my review.

This is a nice, thick super soft blanket all on its own. But it also has heat! It warms up quickly (<30 seconds), and even the low setting is plenty to keep me warm while sitting and working all day. The wires are nice and thin, barely noticeable through the thick material. The cable has a brick in the middle which I assume is just a transformer (it just has a power indicator light and doesn't house any controls), but all together it is nice and long, like 14 feet! Plenty to reach an outlet.The control is a button built into the top corner of the blanket on the same side, opposite end of where the cord goes in. Simple to use, just click through each of the 4 heat settings. If you unplug it (or power off a smart outlet) then plug it back in, it does not remember its setting so you will have to click the button to turn it on again. Probably a good safety feature, but being able to schedule a smart outlet to turn it on automatically would have been handy.One small surprise was that it came with a clearly written, robust instruction manual with all the info on controls, care, washing, drying, storage, etc. It seems that often products just come in a plain box without any documentation at all.One last small complaint is the large, sewn-on silk label (approx 6x8") on the inside bottom corner of the blanket. I am sure it legally has to be there - and at least it's a nicer material - but it is noticeably different from the fluffy fleece of the rest of the blanket.
