My hernia is at the left side of my lower abdomen.  Will this belt work for me?

In my opinion, I think it would. It's very wide and very easy to adjust, plus the disc in there that can be repositioned can be placed wherever you need it. Just first put the belt on and get it as tight as you need, then put your hand under it and use other hand to place the disc over the hernia and it should be fine. I think this is a great product.

Question 3

I have a 5 inch complex hernia in my abdominal line. It is about 2 inches below and 3 inches above my belly button. Will this belt work?

The photo on the model shows the outside fit accurately. The middle midline has a 7 1/2 inch velcro strip that will let the wearer adjust the up-down position of a 3 inch long, 2 1/2 inch wide little "hill" to push into a midline hernia about that size. It is ovoid with a maximum height of 1 inch.

If the bowel or liver that comes out of the hernia is stuck out over the edge of the fascia any compression belt and especially this design could cut off circulation to said innards. Be careful, be sure nothing stays outside the edges of the hernia. Also while it adjusts a couple inches or so up down it is one size fits all.

Finally I would not wear this with the "hill" protruding into a midline or midline hernia repair. I had mine repaired recently and use this and other belts as a flat support.

Is this ergonomic hernia belt safe for abb excercises?

I actually own this belt and I wear it to the gym every time I go -- I wouldn't go without it. The plastic spine pieces are hardly in the way compared to how well this holds everything in. Most hernia belts I find recently are so flimsy they barely hold a bandage in place. This one actually holds everything in place.
