I’ll admit that at first, I didn’t know what these were, but once I knew, I ordered them immediately! These are the Chinese version of the gold bar. Much more elegant in appearance, but not as stackable as gold bars. From my understanding, these beautiful little ingots which were formerly used as money based on weight, are now used decoratively as an auspicious way to usher wealth and prosperity. Some individuals use them in their Feng Shui practices.I intend to use these ingots as “rewards” in an education setting during the coming Chinese holidays.PROS:1. The Hollowfly pieces arrived very quickly! Very nice for ushering “wealth”!2. They are as described: made from resin according to or near to the measurements in the photo. I have added photos to confirm the measurements.3. They have a nice golden color to them.4. They are fairly smooth.5. After opening the box in which they were shipped, I decided maybe I should count them and confirmed the 60-count as expected.CONS:Really only one.1. They arrived in the Amazon shipping box in a cheap white packing box, ***loose***. I would have thought they would have at least been packaged in a plastic bag inside the flimsy box. Imagine getting your ingots and having them spill all over the ground! That would only promote a financial *loss* rather than prosperity. The whole point of these is to attract wealth and prosperity – even if they are simply small plastic pieces intended for children.So… I cannot give them 5 stars, simply for the presentation factor where the presentation of these pieces is part of the point and the fact if the box is torn open, they will have to immediately find something else to store them.I actually ended up putting mine in a plastic “snack bag” before putting them back in the box to save them until I use them. I will order a nicer container later. I did know that these were only the ingots and did not come with a container, but I also wasn’t expecting them to come loose in a cheap, easily torn box. So just be aware when ordering these to open the box carefully.If the manufacturer or seller sees this: I would recommend at *least* packaging them in a little plastic bag in the box. The box *is* very cheap and flimsy and could easily spill these ingots when a customer opens them if they don’t know that they are loose in the box.Even better would be for them to be packaged in a little golden cloth, see-thru bag with a satin pull tie or something that reinforces the auspicious quality - even if they are made for children. Otherwise, they might come across as something people might consider as “more junk” and dismiss them rather than their being representative of something more tangibly valuable. Presentation counts!***************************************I received these pretty little Hollowfly brand ingots as a member of the Vine Voice in exchange for my unbiased, honest review. I enjoyed receiving them and know they will be a very welcome surprise during the holidays with those I intend to share them! Just be careful when you open the box.
