This book was a great and wonderful reminder of questions that should be talked about; though there were some my girlfriend and I were like, “what the heck does that have to do with anything “. The majority of the book was good and worth a read.

Be open minded, my not relate but find away to put it into your life and it will help

I absolutely loved this book! Written by a professional counsellor, this writer truly understands how messy, and paimful stepfamilies can be. As someone who has been through it all, Jurenko shares his experiences but then offers hope for those trying put together a stepfamily.I, myself, am a stepmom whose kids are now grown up, and felt emotional as I read his message of encouaragement.This book is great for stepfamilies at all stages, from just starting to kids now grown. It is wonderful for helping you and your spouse reflect on what is going well and what needs to be improved.

I appreciated how this book validated our experience with blending as well. My husband and I have struggled with all the blending messiness. The conversation starters helped us understand how we want our new family to work and helped us get it all out on the table. If we are united, the kids will feel better. I like also how it reassures you that God does love stepfamilies and There is no reason to feel shame and that your family can be a place of real joy.

Recently a new step-mom to two wonderful boys! Enjoyed this book very much. The tips and words of encouragement were helpful for what is to come.

Great book! Loved the transparency and vulnerability of the blended couple that wrote this together.
