Cotton Wardrobe Essential (& Wrinkles Galore!)
As mentioned in the heading, this is a cotton wardrobe essential. It’s practical for the hot weather, and it’s a very flattering A-Line flare skirt design. It will wrinkle a lot especially after washing and air drying, but it is cotton, so that is to be expected, rather than to be a negative issue. The solid color ones work well as a natural breathable cotton petticoat under floor length dresses. Most petticoats are polyester or tulle or other synthetic materials which are uncomfortable and impractical for the hot weather. That is not necessarily why most women buy it, but it does indeed function well as a petticoat, more than as a stand-alone skirt. The reason is that the particular length of this item is just below the knee or a few inches below the knee, depending upon the individual woman’s height. It’s the mid calf length that most women should avoid because it makes them look shorter and frumpier. Of the approximately 4,000,000,000 women in the world, the average adult woman height is 5’5” to 5’6” which means for most, the skirt lands mid-calf, again making the figure look shorter and frumpier. That’s an opinion, but certainly not a singular one, as most womenswear’s clothing designers would agree.Nevertheless, it is a great essential item, and works well as a natural cotton petticoat. I took many photos of myself wearing the skirt but I’m unable to upload them into the Amazon gallery. Ill try again later.

Size up, and plan for wearing something underneath so fabric doesn’t touch skin
Love the skirt, though the fabric is a bit rough (feels heavily starched—or just not your typical fabric for clothes…more like sheets with a lower thread count). Personally, I like to wear something under the skirt so the fabric isn’t rubbing against my skin since it’s not soft or a comfortable fabric. The pattern is very pretty though—I get lots of compliments. The fit is small, definitely size up (I have to wear it higher on my waist, which is okay since it’s long enough, but still…I would have preferred a larger size).

A little snug.
Not too small, but too short. I thought the larger size would have a longer hem line. Still 26 inches. Was looking foe a Mid length.

My Husband gave many compliments
Fabrics is medium to light weight. Not See they. Great weight for Southeast Texas humid summer three digits F heat. Box pleats hold their shape. Length of skirt hits about two inches below my knee. I purchased an XL. Perfect fit for my 4’11” 150 lb frame at age 68. Have already made second purchase: skirt red with white polka dots, & box pleats.

Bright and colorful!
I like this skirt. Bright, colorful and makes me happy when I wear it. A little big so I usually wear it as a top with pants.

A little tight and hard to zip up.
The skirt was a little tighter than expected and the zipper was hard to zip up all the way. Once I wore the skirt a couple of times it did stretch out and become more comfortable, However the zipper is still hard to zip.

It was a little big but everything else was great
When I ordered a small it was a little bit too big on me but overall it was a fantastic skirt that came with pockets
