Q: I soak my air plants. if i use the correct food to water ratio can i soak my plants or do i have to spray them?

I dip tillandsias for 10 to 20 seconds every day in double strength (1/4 tsp in 1/2 gal), and 12 hours of full spectrum grow lights. Works great. Long soaks get them soggy and waterlogged.

Q: It's advertised to use as a mist for Tillandsia. Will I get benefits as a drench for Vriesa, Guzmania or Potted Orchids? Real results? Thanks!!

Hi M A Bird, I mix it in water and drench the soil area of my bromeliads, I don't fill the centers of the brom's with the mixture however, I've always read that is not a good idea. I don't know about orchids however. My brom's do love it, they grow beautifully, have good color etc. I fill a ziploc bags with the water/fertilizer mixture, throw my tilly's in it and let them soak for a few hours. Works very nicely! I hope this helps a little.

Mine arrived in the same condition but I just scraped and loosened it up and have been using it on my Tillandsias, air plants. I can't see as how it has done any harm and in fact the plants seem to have grown and that is something difficult to notice with your air plants. I don't believe it would do any harm to use it just make sure it's crumbled and well dissolved in the water.

Are use this fertilizer on all my tropical plants. My sneak plant has thrived in bloom with this fertilizer and the golden pathos Would do quite well with it to because it is a tropical plant to
