Great value and exactly what was expected
I use this as a thickener for stews and casseroles as it mixes well an adds a wonderfully rich taste and texture without any weird or jarring tastes. It is very svoury and is so much more than a gravy as it blends well with other ingredients such as tinned tomatoes + herbs + this to get a really lovely Tomatoe soup ... Adjust quantity to suite your tastes!Higly recommended

Easy to make up.
I have a gluten intolerant dog and buy this product to wet his food. Rest of family now use it as well.

Good gravy, but it is not magic
There is a review here from someone claiming that this package has lasted them two years. You would need to be a very infrequent user - or to be satisfied with very watery gravy - in order for the pack to last anywhere near that long. I estimate 3 months for average users - but that isn't bad, for the price. You'll save about one-third, like for like, if you're continuously buying those thimblefuls of gravy powder that the likes of Sainsburys sell, so the value is indeed good. However there is no magic ingredient in this product that will make your gravy less lumpy. Gravy is lumpy because powdered product cannot assimilate with hot water quickly enough. That's why MAGGI gravy advises to finish the mixture by boiling - so that the action of boiling water has a chance to burst those islands of powder. There's no other reason. And with this product, as with all other instant gravy, the only route to a lumpless mix is a strainer (which I bought shortly after this arrived). The taste of this gravy is particular and very pleasant. It's pretty salty, though, so if you're not as much of a salt fan as I am, take care. All told, I would order it again - but I wouldn't fall for the hyperbole of these reviews again.
