Not a bad buy for a budget furniture piece, as it seems capable of storing (dry) umbrellas. It came with a bag of “extra” hardware (screws, cams, etc.) some of which were actually needed for the easy assembly. Admittedly, it’s an attractive addition to an entryway, though I can’t imagine it holding up to repeated use over time. For now, I’d give it 3-4 stars.

This umbrella stand is easy to assemble, inexpensive, and attractive. It took me 20 minutes to assemble it. Since it is inexpensive, it is less sturdy than one would expect from expensive furniture, but it serves the purpose well. It holds the canes and umbrellas and does not tip or wobble. I keep 4 canes and two umbrellas in it and they are well-secured.The bottom piece of wood, which is the platform, sits on plastic dowels and I had concerns that it would not be stable enough but that has not been the case. Actually, it may be a good thing since you could remove it to clean it after using your cane or umbrella on a rainy/muddy day.

I did not buy this for it's intended use as an umbrella holder, but I imagine it would work just fine for that. I needed something relatively small that would fit in a corner of my bathroom as a hamper. This worked perfectly! I wanted a hamper that would be on legs or casters, so it wouldn't be sitting on the floor. The only ones sold as hampers were either too large or too expensive. This holds a few days worth of clothes which is exactly what I need. It's also sturdy and looks great so I'm happy with this purchase.

I'd give this item, maybe four stars, but for the construction defect (more on this later.) First, this is a lightweight piece of furniture, which serves its' intended purpose well enough. I'd wish the vertical bars were a little closer at the sides; as they are it is a bit too easy for items (we use it for both umbrellas and walking sticks) to slide between them. If it is placed in a safe spot and not moved too often, I think it will function as intended for a good long time, but rough treatment is not something it can withstand. Truthfully, it looks better than it feels. I've put together a good deal of this type of self-assembled furniture (cam and post) and have never run into the particular issue I encountered with this item. As I discovered, if the posts are screwed all the way into their guide holes, as is usual, they will not engage fully with the cams, which need a full half turn to lock securely. This is, I believe, a machining error. Once I discovered this, and backed the posts out a turn or two, the item assembled as it should. I can't know if this problem is unique to the item I received, and, in this context, it's not a big deal once solved. However, if this type of issue were present in an item with more of a load-bearing function, it could be significant. In conclusion, for the price, a good deal, if assembly is achieved.

This storage unit works perfectly to store our outdoor patio/lawn chairs. I have it by our back door and we can easily access the chairs and put them back into this unit. It looks really handsome/pretty in our house as well.

for what I paid I am happy. I searched MONTHS for a cane stand, and they are all ugly, and all cost well over fifty bucks. This was much less expensive and looks beautiful in my home. HOWEVER it is made SO cheaply, I can see how you can easily get a very defective unit. There is clearly NO quality control at this factory. The camshafts don't line up so no matter what you do, expect them to unscrew themselves and the whole thing literally falls apart. And yes, I know how camshafts work! I suppose you could add gorilla glue into the mix to keep them from loosening (so basically, put the stand where it goes, and don't move it again! I went to move mine one day and the whole thing popped apart like a can of snakes, haha). The other HUGE issue was that one of the thin slats was SOOOOOO bowed, it looked like an archer's bow!! I am NOT even kidding. I put it in a vice and slowly bent it back to a slightly more straight line, but it's still extremely bowed, so I positioned the stand with that part facing the wall, so you really can't tell at all once the canes and umbrellas are in there. Overall, I probably would not buy online again, as it seems way too easy to get a completely defective unit. I lucked out that I just had one slat that looks like a sideways smile :)

I like my umbrella holder. I haven’t placed a wet umbrella in it yet though. It also can be used to hold a cane as well. The umbrella holder is steady and appears to be made of good quality. It was very easy to assemble. I also love the modern/contemporary look!

It’s sturdy and looks good, but the space between the slats is a bit too wide. The tips of umbrellas, canes, and long shoe horns, all slip thru the slats, which makes the whole thing look sloppy and the items hard to retrieve.

It arrived on time. It is nice however is discolored in a few places; the wood has different colour browns in a few places, a few scratch marks/tiny gauges that I had to touch up with expresso paint and because it was not clean I had to completely wipe it down to clean it prior to assembling. As well, the little plastic pegs to cover the screw holes once assembled are terrible (they should be wood). I am impressed with amazon, the transaction, delivery and so on but not completely with the product. For the price it should have been 100% but unfortunately was not.If someone can contact me in regards to these issues I'd greatly appreciate it and/or I will be contacting someone at Amazon myself.

This was extremely easy to assemble with excellent parts. It is the correct height and is very well built.

Flimsy build. Wood where slats attached left a raw area around each slat. Given as a gift.Hope she is ok with it. She needed a cane holder so it works for this

Les pièces s'alignent mal. Le fond carré laisse un jour sur deux côtés. De plus, le fond du porte-parapluie est trop proche des côtés, c'est-à-dire que les pointes des parapluie glissent facilement en-dehors. Franchement, juste trop paresseuse pour le retourner parce que quelqu'un a jeté l'emballage trop vite. On le laisse donc dans l'entrée du garage où sa piètre qualité a moins d'importance.
