won't stain iron ways/vice if left on?

Not in my experience. I've thrown the crap all over my bench and vice. Dries clean. Could me a soap mix honestly. I would be one mad son of a gun if it stained all my nice stuff. Does the job well though. Ive used it for milling and cutting. A+ on both.
