Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad for Mac Models with Apple Silicon - US English - Black Keys

I learned the fingerprint reader on this keyboard is proprietary to Apple so the fingerprint reader won't work with other laptop brands. I have a Macbook Pro M3 and M4 so it's a great keyboard! It is USB C (not sure why other reviews said it was not). The fingerprint reader works like a charm. It does have the function key just like the Macbook Pros. It was cheaper on Amazon than at Apple. Woot! Worth noting is that when I was charging the keyboard with the USB C cable, my Macbook Pro didn't update the percent charge, I had to disconnect and reconnect to see the actual increase in charge, but it did charge to 100%. Not sure if that will continue to happen or if it was just the first time I charged it.

I'm going to do a 5 star rating here - even though this board lacks backlighting which is something that is really helpful for me when I do low-light video editing. Battery consumption (if that's Apple's logic for no backlighting) can be easily managed with a simple on/off switch for the backlighting function. All that said, the fingerprint reader more than makes up for the lack of backlighting in my opinion. I use mine with a 2 monitor setup connected to a MacBook and a docking station. Lots of other reviewers have mentioned the overall quality of the board, so no need to beat that horse again as I agree with that. The other important part is the physically thin form factor which is metal, very sturdy and built to last for a long time. The metai material looks great, but also allows the board to be rigid enough to be small while retaining full keyboard space. Price seems high, but it's Apple and functions perfectly with the rest of the Apple ecosystem. I don't regret the purchase.

The Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad is easily one of the best keyboards I’ve ever used. Build quality is classic Apple — slim, lightweight, solid, and premium. The battery life is exceptional; I’ve gone weeks without needing to charge it. Pairing is instant, and it stays connected with zero lag or missed keystrokes. If you’re in the Apple ecosystem and want a reliable, comfortable, and secure keyboard, this one is absolutely worth it. The Touch ID alone feels like a game-changer, and the typing experience is excellent.

Fantastic Mac Wireless Full Size Keyboard with number pad. Paired easily. Battery lasts about a month, maybe 3 weeks before you need to recharge. Has an excellent feel/touch to it. Works flawlessly. The feel is the same as the MacBook Pro. Downside. Extremely over priced. But, I love it.

Kind of pricey, but top notch quality. I absolutely love the Touch ID and the Numeric Keypad combination. I use both multiple times every day. It keeps me from having to open my spreadsheet of passwords and now use 1 button to sign in to my accounts. The keyboard feel is a little too sensitive for my fat fingers, and I am not a fan of the chicklet keys, but that is Apples design. I have adapted and learned to live with those little flat keys.

Keyboard works perfectly out the box. Looks and feels great. Note - the touchID only works with M1 or newer Macs. Worked with new Neo - does not work with Intel MacBook Pro. Pricey but looks great paired with Magic Mouse.

As a user of the previous magic keyboard, the new lower-left location of Function (Fn) button is incredibly frustrating and messes with my muscle memory of nearby Control, Option, and Command buttons. I tried getting used to it, but it keeps tripping me up. TouchID on the keyboard is the main reason I bought this, and it is useful, but not as available as I thought it would be. I still have to type my system password a lot, especially on wake. Aside from that, it was very easy to set up and worked well otherwise.

It's a sleek low profile keyboard and types so quietly and easily. I like that it has the Touch ID built in. And the full number pad on the side is a game changer - so much faster than using the numbers across the top. Charges fast and holds a charge for a long time. As other reviews mentioned I do wish it had back lit keys (like the MacBook Im using it with has) but otherwise I am pleased with this purchase.

The Magic Keyboard is a full size Apple keyboard. It is light yet sturdy and looks and feels great. I really like the way the keys feel and the lower profile of the keys themselves. I like it way better than my Logitech MX Keys. The finger print sensor is awesome. One thing to note is that this one is NOT backlit if that's an issue for you. It's not an issue for me as I work in a lit environment and prefer the longer battery life.

The item is perfect, I received it before the expected date, everything is exactly as pictured. I loved it. I would order again.

Easy to use, ID works great. The only negative is the price and no back legs but if needed you can buy third party.

Apple products are expensive but work well together. I have gotten use to having a numeric keypad since the late 1980’s and having the fingerprint thing is great

I bought this one because the black model the paint fell off after only 6 months and Apple claims is wear and tear. I hope this one lasts much longer as it is a very expensive keyboard
