Great first use but after wash is bad. After the first wash, there is already thread pulls, the socks shrunk, and it looks faded. My foot also sweats wearing the socks despite the breathable mesh designed on it.

I’m always on the look-out for mostly cotton athletic socks at a good price that are made specifically for women. I ordered these MAGIARTE Unisex Cushioned Athletic Mini Crew Socks, 3-pk. in three shades of blue, even though the AI couldn’t tell me how much cotton was in them. I can report the enclosed card says these socks are 74.5% Cotton, 20.5% Nylon, 3% Polyester, 1% Spandex, and 1% rubber, which was surprising. I’ve ordered unisex socks before, and the conversion between men’s and women’s sizes doesn’t always work for me. I was happy the medium fits US Women shoe sizes (6-9) since I wear 8.5 shoes. I was afraid they might be too small, but they are the perfect length for my feet. I even compared them with an old pair of my orange crew socks. They fit so well that they didn’t even bunch up at the back of my foot when I pulled on my athletic shoes.At first, I balked at the unusual, waffle-puffiness of the ball of the foot, but they actually provided some extra padding and cushion as I walked in them. This puffy design is not along the heel though but just above, so the heel might wear out more easily since I walk about 6,000 to 8,000 steps a day. However, the “moisture wicking” fabric does provide good support for my high arches without being too tight. These comfortable crew socks can be folded shorter, if you prefer. When I write reviews, I always take plenty of photos to show what I honestly express, but the photos never upload in sequential order.Some reviewers pointed out a chemical smell, but I did not notice any. I have not washed these socks, yet, but a thumbnail photo’s washing symbols implied they should be dry cleaned after washing in cold water and even use a low heat iron. Who would do that? However, the last bullet in About This Item says to, “Hand or machine wash… better not to tumble dry, it have little shrinking after first time wash.” Well, I always let my socks air dry. I never put them in the dryer, particularly if they have a lot of cotton.Overall, I do recommend these MAGIARTE cushioned crew socks with the unusual, padded design and blended cotton fabric.

These were the perfect ankle length and thickness to wear with my heavy platform Dr. Martens. Hoping they’ll help prevent blisters.

It is hard to shop for socks for my mom who is in hospice. The socks I buy for her are always tight and they take a long time to get comfortable enough for her.These socks were thick, soft and stretched better than other socks. They even had ridges on the bottom like the hospital socks. The colors are nice looking and the quality of the material is great. They are a good value for the money compared to other socks. I will buy more of these when I need them.
