Big Horn 19120 Picture Frame Pliers

Used for picture framing.

I saw some of the reviews and decided to take a chance cause if this fails I would have no choice to take my frames to a friends house. But this Picture Frame Pliers is great. The only thing was like the other readers said the Magnet broke off well I am glad it happen cause it got in the way of the nails I was using. I was really surprised it happen cause someone else might needed that magnet. I mean the lower part broke to pieces I couldn't believe it I only put the nails in 2 frames and this happen. I have completed 4 frames and it is still going so in a nutshell this is a Great Product!! Plus it drove in the nails most of the way in.

Pros: Reasonable price, all metal, easy to adjust and use, gets the job doneCons: Like everyone else's, the magnet on mine fractured on the first use. I took a screwdriver and pried the remaining magnet bits so I'd have a flat surface to work with.If the manufacturer/seller is reading this, please eliminate the magnet as it's useless!

I ordered this product on the 29th of January. I received it on the 30th at 7am. I opened the product box, which was damaged and retaped. It looked like it had been restocked after being returned. I could understand why, it didn't work the way it was supposed to. I returned it the same day at noon to Kohl's.A new product was at my door the next morning at 7am. I rated the service 5 stars because of the corrective action that was taken to solve this problem. I'm quite impressed!!

Magnetic tip to hold glazing points broke within first week of use; had to file down to make it usable again. Product is designed and works well except for the cheap ceramic magnets prone to breaking easily. Would be better without them.

If I could put 0 stars, I would. I purchased this in August, 2019. I have previously used this design and never had any problems. When I found one on Amazon I was excited to purchase it, even though I thought it was overpriced. I needed it, for the first time, today. I got it out of the box and proceeded to try to drive a brad, into a tobacco stick. The wing nut would not tighten..........I used, as a last resort, a pair of pliers to try to tighten the wing nut up and it would not tighten, around the bar. It proceeded to slide up and down, so it could not grip the bar and push the brad into the wood. I am mad at myself for not checking it out when I received it. It's very disappointing, when you need a certain tool and you think you have that tool and you go to use that tool and it turns out to be a piece of xxxx.

I was very excited to be getting these, however it was short lived. As others has stated, the magnets are not hard enough to stand up to the pressure. The workings are not complicated but they do not function smoothly. Both of them have had the same issues very quickly. Very disappointed. I've gone back to using channel locks with a wrap of leather on the head.
