The 3 deet free mosquito repellant bands, one each of black, white and brown, arrived in individual sealed and resealable packs designed to stop the repellant aroma from diffusing away before use. The seller states that the aroma should be effective for 10 days of wear, which I think is very optimistic, however as the provided information is clear about the oils used to provide the aroma, I guess that you can always put on extra drops to extend their useful life. The oils are easy to find in health food shops and from Amazon.According to the sales information the bands are infused with a mix of four essential oils, peppermint, citronella, eucalyptus and lemongrass, which smell great to humans but apparently terrible to insects! I wondered if the mix might give them a rather odd aroma, but to me it smells fine. I have not had the opportunity to test these bands where there are mosquitoes yet, but I have used other essential oil repellants that seem to work reasonably well.The bands come as plaited strands that can be tied to size. They are rather thin, so could perhaps be more attractive, but in terms of length were a reasonable fit for my daughter’s small wrist and also I managed to tie them around my own ankle, admittedly only just and rather unattractively!Given that the the essential oils are all that is used to repel insects, these bands are environmentally friendly and safe to wear. A pleasant smelling casual if not particularly attractive bracelet or anklet with the advantage of keeping insects away for £2.33 each seems a reasonable buy to me and I will give them a four star rating, for being cheap, safe and hopefully effective.

The colours are neutral too again a stylish woven effect. Wear them with a few other bands and they merge into the back ground. They also last for up to ten days when you put hem on. Naturally this will be less if you swim, shower and more in them.You will need further protection with a spray or lotion and I even wear the bracelets on both wrists and ankles.If they prevent you getting a bite they are worth their weight in gold.
