This is a nice brush for both detangling and smooth of the hairs. That is because it has both fine boar bristle to smooth the hairs and long nylon bristles to detangling curly hairs. These nylons bristles are dispersed evenly and protrude out to help insert into the mess to separate them. They are all in a soft support that is quite resilient and comfort to the hairs. You don’t need to use force and pull hard to the hairs. The handle and the base are a simple piece that is made in simple plastic. That will help reduce the cost. It works equally well as a wood one.

This boar hair brush is okay, but the plastic handle has a heavy smell even after letting it air out. Next time I'll stick with a wooden or bamboo handle to avoid these kind of odors.

This brush isn't going to win any style or design awards. It's a standard Boar Bristle brush with shorter boar bristles and longer ball-end brush prongs. But that's exactly what I wanted. It's also comfortable to hold, the material is soft against my hand, the paddle is a good size, and despite my best efforts, not a single bristle or prong detached from the brush. Even the ball ends refused to budge, which almost never happens.The brush also feels nice in use and does a good job of working out tangles and making my hair more shiny. I'd definitely get it again.

This type of brush works well for me. I have had short hair and it was good and now that I have long hair, I still prefer it.
