Hamilton Khaki Field Brown Dial Nylon Strap Men's Watch H69429901

After having this watch for a month, accuracy is around +5 seconds/day. This falls on COSC (chronometer ) standard of +6/-4 per day. For comparison, I have an Orient bambino which is only accurate at around +10 to +20 seconds per day based on my experience. I like the thin profile and the long lugs with drilled holes which makes it easy for you to change nato/zulu straps or a different strap. I also like the matte finish as it projects a subtle and simple look as opposed to polished blingy finish ( Probably , an acquired taste but this is how I love it ). Also, this watch resembles the gg-w-113 military watch ( Vietnam era ) and has a great history.Like:-Affordable-Great Quality-Swiss Made ETA 2801-2 Hand Wind Movement-Oversize Crown for easy winding-Bead blasted finish-Time only - easy to set on the go. ( compared to watches with date, you don't have to think AM/PM and can set the time faster ).-Decent Lume - Superliminova-Vintage look with great 38 mm size. Wears bigger in spite of the smaller size because of the long lug length-Sapphire Crystal ( have a slight dome on it )-High Beat movement of 28800 BPH - seconds hand moves very smoothDislike:-Strap could be longer but should not be an issue for those with smaller wrist-No AR coating ( reflective crystal)Update :There are two movements for these watch. Mine just arrived today, so I can't comment on its accuracy. The box is simple but perfectly fine. The watch seems very well-made. I bought this one knowing that Hamilton just released newer versions of the same watch with a different in-house movement. The newer one has a longer power reserve, but you sacrifice he smoothness of the of the second hand, and I prefer the ETA. I like that it has drilled lugs, makes strap changes easy as pie. I swapped out the nato for brown leather and it looks great! It'll be fun to swap different straps on this watch. Even though (or actually because) most of my watches have black dials, I bought this with brown. I love it! I wish it had better water resistance and a screw down crown, but my Speedy Moon doesn't have a screw-down crown and I've never had an issue with it, though I wouldn't take either into the ocean! For the money, you can't go wrong! Even the watch nerds on Hodinkee love this watch!

A good windup watch at an affordable price is hard to find now a days. I have had this one now for a couple of months and it is very accurate. Love the hacking feature. Was able to set it down to the second to the atomic clock and after two months is only off by 2 seconds (fast). Highly recommended. I know some people have a problem with it only being water resistant to 50meters but that is 50 meters deeper than I am going to take it. I have a few vintage watches with no water resistance and they are still running fine after 50 years. This should be fine for washing dishes and wearing in the rain.

If you’re looking at this watch it’s because you want a Khaki Field watch. It’s everything you want it to be. The hand wound movement gives you a nice connection to your watch which I enjoy. The “tropical” dial also looks great.

Small, unassuming, and probably my favorite daily wearer in my collection.I’ve never owned a hand-winder before, but after wearing this one for a bit, i’ve started shopping some of Hamilton’s more expensive field-style pieces.
