This machine was recommended to me by a friend who has had one in regular use for nearly 20 years. It is solid, well built and the gears work smoothly unlike my previous cheap machine which I had to scrap after only a few uses. This one is premium quality, worth paying a bit more for.

Arguably one of the best pasta roller I’ve ever used. Very smooth action, the rollers are perfectly aligned, and cleanup was a breeze. Not the cheapest, but definitely among the best.

Perfect/ottimo. I have owned 3 pasta machines previously. Two were not inexpensive machines that while they looked in the surface to be identical to those made by Mercato and the other major Italian manufacturer Imperia - they were made in China. Both were difficult to use because the dough stuck to them and both broke after two uses in one case and 4 uses in the other. The metal parts were flimsy and had razor sharp edges that served to catch and chew up the dough passing through the rollers. Truly Chinese rubbish - and neither cheap - also although different "makes" they had a nasty smell of oil. I then bought a Mercato machine for use in our Italian holiday house and never looked back. During lockdown fancying some decent fresh pasta I ordered this Ampia machine. It works like a Rolls Royce. The section to make futtucine and "spaghetti" is built in and not detachable unlike some models by the same manufacturer. This means you cannot slot in other attachments for other shapes but this didn't bother me. The dimensions in the drop down menu on the Amazon order section are not correct. The machine is not anywhere near that big. Look further down in the product description and you will see the correct sizes which are those of a normal domestic machine. Easy to use, no sticking to the rollers, a doddle to dust and wipe clear (I use a paper towel).

I bought mine before Amazon became a thing, for a steal from a large scandi store, and have used it on and off since the early 90's. I'm adding this review because it's such an awesome piece of kit - 25+ years later. Utterly brilliant, easy to use, and with an egg pasta dough the cook time is minutes. Also with a ravioli shaper, dinner is easy as. ps, it's a spinach/ricotta/lemon zest and nutmeg filling - and was served with a tomato fennel seed sauce + parmesan and pesto... utterly delicious!

The product has excellent quality! Works very well and it is easy to clean. It is not so versatile though. Because it doesn’t have the removable attachement, you’ll be limited in 2 types of pasta. Overall, it attends my needs very well.

I'd never made noodles at home before and I wanted to make noodles for my ramen. After looking around and reading reviews, I decided to go with this one without the motor (I didn't wanna pay a lot since I wasn't sure if it worked well and served the purpose). I had to roll the dough a few extra times because it doesn't have double rollers; but it ran smoothly and effortlessly so at the end of the process, my arm wasn't tiring at all... Fyi, I cut my ramen noodles at knot #4, but I think I might try #5 next time.

This is a beautiful gadget to create wonders in the kitchen. The built of the machine is so sturdy and is very very convenient to use, ofcourse after u get the hang of making a good pasta dough and the techniques involved in the process. Cleaning the machine after every use is must with a dry brush. The delivery was very well in time with a secured packaging and the seller New India are the official supplier of original Marcato products. They're extremely helpful and cooperative providing a seamless customer friendly experience.
