About the DVDDurga Devi (Bindu), Amars (Anil Kapoors) mother along with her married daughter Kanchan treats her daughter-in-law Sharda (Deepti Naval) her elder sons (Raj Kirans wife) very badly because she could not bring with enough dowry. Amar manages to get a job in Seemas (Meenakshi Sheshadris) fathers office. Sharda unable to bear any more of her mother in-laws cruelty leaves the house along with her daughter Pinky. She finally knocks at her childhood friends Seemas door. Incidentally Amar arrives there and is astonished to see Sharda and Pinky alive.
