I had one bathroom in the house that was smelling increasingly "earthy" over a period of weeks. The smell progressed to being an "earthy with a ting of uric" smell and I happened to break out in hives during that time period and could not identify a cause (no change in food, cleaning products, or medicine). Knowing I've had a previous sensitivity with reaction to mold in a home before, I thought it would be wise to test the room for spores even though I visually could not see any sign of it. I read reviews on several test kits available on Amazon. They seemed fairly equal in price, function, and reviews/ratings. I was having a difficult time choosing one over another until I read one review in particular for this kit. The reviewer mentioned emailing pictures of their petri dish specimens to a product support address and getting a quick identification response. SOLD! I immediately placed my order. The kit was received quickly. It was packaged very well, ensuring the petri dishes were not contaminated. The instructions were well written in a larger format, organized, and easy to follow. The mold identification portion of the booklet had clear pictures with descriptions, an explanation of where the mold is typically found, under what conditions it grows, and the potential health impacts. The instructions and options for mold remediation/removal/prevention were also well written. I placed 3 of the 6 uncovered dishes in the bathroom with the door closed for an hour. Gathered each one, placed and sealed the lids with tape, labeling each with date and location. They were then put in a dark corner of my office (the warmest room in the house) where they sat untouched for a few days. When I finally look at them, they had several varieties of mold growing. Some I could identify with the book, others I could not. I sent an email off with photos of my spotted, fuzzy dishes asking for help. Within 48 hours I had a very professionally written pdf response using my photos with an ID and explanation of each mold type found on the petri dish, for all three dishes ... AT NO EXTRA COST. Amazing easy, fast, and helpful! I'm 100% happy with this product and service. The peace of mind and support is priceless I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TEST KIT.

Highly recommend this kit , you’d be surprised what you find . It includes multiple accessories for you to test different areas in your home and it honestly doesn’t take too long for the mold to develop if it catches the spores . I’d say 3 days max, instructions are clear and it’s very easy to use .
