I hate all the typical razer scrapers that I'm aware of. They never seem to hold the blade that well and they end up slipping out the end or popping out or whatever. This thing holds great, folds up for safe easy storage, and even works pretty well as a standard box knife. Awesome design and comfortable and easy to use. Comes with quite a few spare blades. I just hope replacement blades will still be available when I eventually run out because I'd hate to have to go back to the other options. They are proprietary blades which are identical to the typical ones that size but these have a slot in the middle that it holds onto the blade with.

Great quality! String, heavy duty, does its job! I mainly use it for cleaning - scraping all the time; rarely using it as a box cutter but I'm sure the box cutter works great as well. Inconvenient to use a little since it has a two-step for me to get the scraper side. BUT I put it in my pants pocket so it is extremely handy since it doesn't cut my pants or me bcuz the blade is hidden inside the "body" of the product. I carry it all the time with me at work. Handy as handy can get!!'

GOOD QUALITY UNIQUE

If you want the best utility knife, this one might not be for you. However, if you want a usable utility knife, and a very good scraper, this might fill the bill. I use scrapers pretty often, and really like scrapers that use cheap and easy to replace utility knife blades. This one takes a blade with a special cutout in the center, the same as a Toughbuilt or Komelon combination utility knife/scraper so they are easy enough to find. Also, while standard blades don't work properly in scrapers like these (the blade isn't secure enough in scraper mode without the cutout to help lock it in) the blades for these types of knifes work just fine in all my standard utility knives, and are reasonably prices, so just buy those and use them for everything. It works by folding and unfolding along the lines of a Milwaukee Fastback knife, except that the hinge isn't as free swinging, so you need to 'help' it open and shut. When open, there is a catch you pull to swivel the blade from cut to scrape. The catch is very secure, and you can only flip it to scrape when fully open, and cannot shut it until you flip it back to the cut position. It has storage for 2 extra blades built into the handle (which the Toughbuilt scraper does not) and it includes 5 extra blades in what I think is about the nicest spare blade carrier I have used. I give this one 3 stars and the Komelon version 4 because although they are very, very similar in design and overall quality, the Komelon has a much smoother/easier hinge point where it folds so you can open and close it one handed just like a Fastback utility knife. Added features would be a pocket clip, and 3 locking positions for the blade (shut, half open, fully open).

solid design and usability -- the blade/pivoting arm locks firmly in three positions with a strong push button -- the blade is held in very well in both the cutting and scraping positions -- the included blade holder stays shut until you open it -- no chance for a blade to fall out -- there is storage for one spare blade in the handle you lift a lever on top of the handle to access it -- the handle, although strong, is hollow to accept the blade arm when closed -- you must push the button to open it. -- the blade holder pivots 90 degrees to the scraping position and stays firmly in place until you unlock it -- minimum to no risk of an accidental release -- I haven't had blades, including new ones, this sharp in quite a while -- I'm happy that I have this even though the only thing I have used it for is to cut up Amazon packaging -- I will be painting around windows soon and without tape -- this Jewel will scrape the paint off in much less time

Es más como para abrir cajas o para fines del hogar. This little tool promised more than what it actually accomplished. Bought it cause I do painting and epoxy jobs and it didn't last more than 2 weeks. Some pieces are too fragile. Its more about home stuffs like opening boxes or easy stuff.

Really nifty utility knife, very sharp and easily converts so that it can be also used to scrape what you need to. i note too that this is a quality build.

Nice knife, well made and good value for money. My only gripe is that when in scraper mode you can't angle the blade down very low, since the thickness of the jaws holding the blade, coupled with the small amount of blade protruding from the front, restrict the available angle of attack, before bottom jaw scrapes the surface.
