Excellent read with plenty of facts and dates to prove the author's point
This book gives a fact- and date-based accounting of how liberal bias. From how "simply science" is just lies repeated over and over again to how anything a conservative does is completely evil even if a liberal has recently done the same. An excellent read with plenty of stories and examples to prove the point. I'm sure the protester shown on the cover with the sign "This book is a hate crime" will turn out to be true once the liberal's realize they have been exposed for the frauds they are.

Important book and important message for the preservation of democracy - Derek is a modern day John Adams.
Thank you Derek, for being a modern day John Adams, who said something similar to your observations: "The law, in all vicissitudes of government, fluctuations of the passions, or flights of enthusiasm, will preserve a steady undeviating course; it will not bend to the uncertain wishes, imaginations, and wanton tempers of men." And also Mr. Adams said, "Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence; nor is the law less stable than the fact." The liberal elites have tried to move us into the situation that Mr. Adams warned us against, and thank you Derek for pointing it out. Our laws are the glue that bind our democracy together and keep it afloat - ALL of them - and Derek does a good job showing that they need to be based on fact, not emotions - another reason liberals are attempting to muddy the factual waters in science and everywhere else. If we begin to pick and choose what are facts and what are not with no provable evidence, and which laws to follow and which to ignore, the democracy falls apart. The founding fathers gave us a process for changing laws we deem unfair or unnecessary, and it is driven by the people through their representatives in Congress; it is vitally important for the preservation of the democracy to follow it. I am beginning to think the downfall of the democracy is precisely what these liberals actually desire - so they can take over the power that they are attempting to remove from the hands of the people, where our founding fathers placed it. Thomas Jefferson said that because power corrupts, the only safe place for it is in the many hands of the people. That is inconvenient for them, since the majority of the people are not in favor of their radical policies, and is arguably one of the reasons Trump got elected. This is also another reason they are placing so much criticism at the founding fathers' feet and using slavery as an excuse to do it.

Not Crap. Hallelujah.
This era where lightweight political and cultural nonfiction books abound like bad barf got you down, dear reader? Fear not. For HarperCollins brings hope for The Republic in Derek Hunter's debut release, Outrage Inc.Anyone who has followed Hunter's career--from his public policy work, to his radio show and podcasts, to his weekly columns--knows that he is a bright star with a big brain and a clever, cutting, sarcastic and often hilarious style all his own. And now you shall know as well. Lucky you. Hunter proves himself the exception to his late friend and mentor Christopher Hitchens' famed edict about how "everybody does have a book in them, and in most cases that's where it should stay." And Hitch would be delighted that this long overdue book deal from a major publishing house for his gifted friend has come to be. May there be many more.

Good, but leave the juvenile insults out of it.....
This book is well-documented and full of names, dates, actual quotes, etc. It's not just a bunch of broad vitriol hurled at the Left. My biggest problem is that the author repeatedly resorts to very juvenile sorts of insults, like "...figures can lie like Bill Clinton caught with his pants around his ankles in the intern housing". He refers repeatedly to unwashed, body-pierced drum circle types. These sorts of petty insults detract from his message, and may well have the affect of alienating open-mind liberals who might have picked up his book with the desire to learn something.

Heavily weighted against Democrats.......
The book is an easy read; it flows well and can be digested in a short period. The premise is an alert to conservatives that progressives are slowly ingesting many public organs (universities, media among others) with further implications for the wider society in things like science, education, journalism and politics. Frankly, I find that rather obvious. Don't you? The author does take time to slowly build his case. He includes many details worth noting and that will increase one's broader understanding of the American landscape today; but, in the end, if this book is a surprise to you (as a reader) then your are probably very ill informed as to what is happening in America today.

The price is right and so are facts in Outrage, Inc
This book didn't cost me a lot, so I was pretty pleased that I got a good read at a low price. Derek is zany and at times even whimsical. Outrage is informative and points out the shear hypocrisy of main stream media. Anyone that bothers to stay informed won't be surprised by anything in the book. Shocker: The media swings left and reports news stories from a narrative perspective instead of a facts based perspective. Outrage Inc illustrates just how pervasive this problem is in the main stream media. Rather than just point out the problem Derek suggests getting the news from several sources that consist of both Conservative and Liberal news sites. What I liked best about Outrage Inc is that points out the problem without being sensational and hyperbolic. Often times that is the problem with conservative books. They go over the top. Derek is a level headed writer.

Made me laugh while provoking thought
Anyone familiar with Derek Hunter's style on radio or through his Daily Caller podcast, will see that come through loud and clear in this book. He doesn't pull punches and calls out the rampant one-sided view of things that bombards us through TV and traditional print outlets. His word choice and phrasing made me laugh often (as they were intended) but that did not take away from the serious message. Left-leaning people should take away from this book the same message as the people on the right - do not allow yourself to be spoon-fed information, and question and investigate all you hear/read. Knowledge is power and Derek Hunter gives some power to his readers.
