Big, beefy and would hurt if hit over the head.
I love this gear it's just so male! A nice big massive even plate of metal!You could cook up half a boar on here and not notices just keep fuelling the fire!A beast of an item, every bbq'ers dream.

Using over my existing BBQ instead of its cast iron bars
I got fed up with the BBQ..the cleaning is a nightmare with them as grease and sludge...ugh!! scrubbing the bars too?? Ugh!! No more!This plate sits on top of the iron bars and heated up nicely from the BBQ ( I used brickettes when doing it (as I have a duel fuel BBQ) and it was nice and hot, and the food was well cooked and more importantly there wasnt too much excess grease that leaked and dripped down into the BBQ so no need to clean afterwards..and scrubbing the bars is a thing of the past..so just give the plate a damn good scrubbing..and can do that in the sink in kitchen now rather than soaking the bars in a plastic bath to loosen the grot caked on them!! Good enough for me! It also is a double sided plate, with ribbed on one side, and smooth on the other (depends what you are cooking I guess).

Why not the same size of plates already installed with the Barbecue ???

Ok but smaller than advertised
A good, solid griddle plate but smaller than advertised (shorter than it is wide) so doesn't fit my grill. I endeded up having to use spaces to stop it from falling onto the burners.

Did the job
This was perfect for the BBQ theThere is a small raised lip around lip all around the edge which keep the fat and grease from dropping onto the the burners.The only fault is the raised lip is not present around the carrying handle aperture and all the grease and fat poor's through the hole and makes a mess of the burners.Not what I would expect from something that cost in excess of £50

Sturdy - Heavy - Good quality
Great addition to our BBQ.Fab for frying an egg, doing some bacon. Used it a lot since we got it.It is very heavy and does take a bit of cleaning but is sturdy and robust.Quick delivery and well packaged.Was a little annoyed that the delivery people just left it on my front doorstep!!Anyone could have taken it. Luckily for me my neighbour spotted it and let me know.Would love any suggestions on how to clean this quickly and easily?????????
