Plastic junk. That's all this item is, not one piece but individual plastic pieces that won't hold much air let alone tools or a shelf.

Kinda cheap...would go for wood slats insteasd

We used these to add some hanging space to the inside of a cheap bookshelf. These did the trick. The are plastic and feel cheaply made, but for hanging small stuff (flash drives, wireless mice, etc) they do the trick. Because they are plastic they were easy to cut with a miter saw and we were able to custom fit them and then screw them into our bookshelf. Looked like they had always been there. They are flex flexible and come rolled up in a box.If you need to hand small relatively light items these are an excellent value, but don't expect them to be as strong as the expensive standard wood slat board.Also make sure you buy the right size hooks. Search for "Jifram 11000284 Easy Living Easy Wall Bag of 12" here on Amazon - these worked well.
